Hello, I'm an EU citizen moving abroad. Will live in Europe indefinitely, but may come back to UK. I have Lloyds and RBS bank accounts, which I want to keep. There will be some activity in my bank accounts, also I have direct debit going in LLoyds. Anyone experienced problems with these banks while living abroad? LLoyds…

Switch or not to switch?
Hi I have been with NatWest for 35 years and, while I appreciate the notion of account loyalty is fairly meaningless, I have always experienced excellent customer service and never been troubled with problems. However, the quick access ISA I set up a number of years ago is now paying negligible interest so I am switching…

A 'stupid' question
Apologies in advance - but I have never had to / needed to do this before and am a little baffled by the exact process. I've had the Santander 123 accountn for ages now but haven't been using it to the best advantage i.e. having standing orders coming from it. Now I want to do this. I have done some internet searching but…

Paid in euro
I have a friend who earns in euros and I have done work for. He wants to pay me for the work in euros, from his UK Barclays euro account. At the moment Id rather leave them as euros, for holiday money due to the rate! Is there a way to pay it onto a prepaid card (for example) rather than open a euro account? Not trying to…

Bank Accounts On Death
Hello All, I have been trying to research but drawing a blank on my position. I wonder if anyone out there has had similar. Funds were transferred out of a joint account (mum + dad) for a now known wedding fund. Unfortunately they were transferred by my dad from the joint into the only other account they had - a sole…

DD and Tesco iSaver mismatch
Just wondering if others have/had similar discrepancies. I have 3 iSavers and have set up various DDs (or think I have) to different accounts. My Lloyds2Co-op (prepped to switch) account says it has 3 DDs but on the iSavers I only have 2 listed as scheduled in the "money in" sections. Even stranger is my Lloyds2Nationwide…

Faster Payments - Missing Reference Number
I sent a faster payments transaction to my savings account last night but failed to put the reference number (my savings account number) on the payment. I called Santander when i realised who said that the payment would be automatically sent back by the recipients bank account within 24 hours. I just called Virgin Money…

Credits to bank account
Hi, quick question if anyone can help please? I've switched from co-op to nationwide but not sure if my credits to the account will be sorted in time. They may go to the co-op after the switch on Thursday. Will the co-op just redirect them to the nationwide? I'm sure all the dd's and so's will be ok as nothing is due out…

Consequences of account switching
Hi All. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the consequences of switching accounts regularly, e.g. on mortgage applications. They ask 'how long have you had your main bank account'. Obviously, for regular switchers, this won't be long. Do they actually care about that? I know my Mum always said it was good to have…

How often do Lloyds Bank issue statements
I do not currently receive paper statements from Lloyds but need to request some for a loan. I need one with a transaction in the last 6 weeks. But my latest statement I can order online is for the period 24 2 2015 TO: 4 6 2015. But looking back over previous statements that I can order there does not seem to be a set…

Natwest Business - Changing account number?
Hello all, I have been in business now since 2011 running my web hosting business. In the past however, I've had a few problems with PayPal, and now can no longer have an account in my name. Unplanned Overdraft Charges At Worst Possible Time
Hello, I am sure someone may have asked this already but I couldn't find it. I am a Bank of Scotland customer with a Student Current Account. I have finished my course and currently receive benefits for myself and my daughter. The past couple of years things have been tight and most months I have had bank charges of one…

Student --> Graduate Account Transition Unclear
I've got a Santander student bank account and, having graduated this year, my overdraft has since increased to £1,800--in line with what they say they give 4th year students. On online banking it still calls it a 'student' account rather than a 'graduate' one. So it looks like they don't realise I've graduated. I'm…

How long to wait between SUCCESSFUL current account applications?
I used to own 2 current accounts with the same bank. In the past month, I have successfully switched one of these to Santander using the switching guarantee. I would like to switch the other one to First Direct. I'm conscious that one should wait at least 6 months between unsuccessful credit / bank account applications…

Link Tesco clubcard to current account.
Once its done does the clubcard then become obsolete, because the the current account can then be swiped at the checkout the same as the clubcard was. The other option i know is to use the card reader/pin with the curent account.

Overdrafts.. In a bit of a pickle!
