Paid in euro

I have a friend who earns in euros and I have done work for. He wants to pay me for the work in euros, from his UK Barclays euro account.
At the moment Id rather leave them as euros, for holiday money due to the rate!
Is there a way to pay it onto a prepaid card (for example) rather than open a euro account?
Not trying to hide anything from anyone....just cant find a way to get paid!

I don't think that a UK prepaid card exists that you can load in € directly.
Also, I think your friend will have to pay for a € transfer.
And, AFAIK, all € accounts in UK are not free unless you maintain a hefty balance.

Either ask for cash or, if it's really a friend, consider him keeping your money until you need it.

Problem is the Euros will likely be worth less against the pound in a few months...

If you have a smart phone, a Revolut prepaid card can be loaded directly in Euros from a Euro debit card or bank account, but I'm not sure if it can come from a third party. Worth checking...

Yes, it can be done, transfer from your friend's euro account onto your Revolut card - it seems like your perfect solution. You can then keep it in euros, convert it to pounds (or dollars) at any time and at the perfect interbank rates, spend it in UK or on holiday... etc.
