Student accounts
Hi, does anyone have any idea about credit ratings? I think I got rejected for a student account because I have a store card with money on it. If I paid it off and closed the account would I be able to reapply and would I be likely to get it? Thanks =)

How long for Santander to accept & activate account?
Just wondering how long this usually takes. I've just applied for the current account to get the £100 and £75 cashback. However I just noticd on the T&Cs that the account must be opened by February 29th in order to qualify for the £100. So, will it open in time, or have I foolishly applied at the wrong time?

I came across this great offer where you can get 4% on the first 60 days and 2% for thereafter This is a 120 days notice account. Effectively you can earn 3% on a 4 months deposit. This is the best rate in the UK for such a time period. To achieve 4% most bank accounts require you to tie money in for a 2 years or more.…
