16-18 / Youth Current Account
My younger daughter is looking for an account with a proper debit card (i.e. not Electron) to have me pay her pocket money into. There doesn't seem to be a lot of choice, either that or they are not well marketed. The best bet looks like Santander's 16-18 Youth Bank Account, but I know from my elder daughter's experience…

A&L phone pin changed, not by me though!
I'm a bit concerned as the 5 digit pin I use when logging onto telephone banking has been changed. Has anyone else had this happen? I now have to wait 3 working days for another pin and my internet banking is blocked as well. Worst still this has happened to me before, back in September. I explained then, as I've done now,…

Just got a few family members interested in signing up for a free £25. I think they would need to fund £500 a month like I do but at over £100 interest per year it's stress free money! Seems that none of my friends are as financially savvy as I :)

First Direct - am I the only one to think they're rubbish?
From what I've read on here and elsewhere, perhaps my expectations of First Direct were *too* high, but... First time I called, to ask about procedures for paying into a FD account at an HSBC branch. The lady was incredibly patronising and spoke to me like I'd never been into a bank branch before. She also left loads of…
