Money paid to a Closed Account

Wonder if anybody can help!!!
I have just transferred £25 to one one my other accounts, but to late forgot that it was one that I had closed a couple of months back. :mad: (My fault for not removing auto payees on the list!!) What happens to this money, does it just not get sent or is it returned to the sending account or do I have to do anything to get it back. It has gone from A & L to Nationwide.

It will be sent ..... as it's in the valid Sort Code / account number range for the target Bank. But it should bounce back in a few days when it can't find a home there.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
