What would you prefer banks to address you as?
I've been wondering by what name people would like banks to call them, i.e. by their first name, or as "Mr/Mrs/Miss xxxx". I am under 25, and would by far prefer it if they called me by my first name. What would you prefer? Please post your approx age group for interest too!

Can anyone advise me as to my rights please? I ommitted a number from my bank account when giving my details to someone to pay me. They got my name and sort code right but when trying to pay into an account with only 6 digits instead of 7, they assumed (as many of us including myself) would do that the account just needed…

Paying in foreign currency cheques
Hi all, I recently received a foreign currency cheque which isn't of particularly high value. However, when trying to pay it into Natwest I was told of a £5 charge to pay it in. Given the value of the cheque is only $50 = £33 I don't think that would be the best way to do it... Which bank(s) are the best in terms of low…

Cash machine error? Taken money from my account!
I went to a cash machine last week (Barclay's) and tried to draw out £120 to pay a bill. The machine said that my card issuer would not authorise the transaction and spit my card back at me - this has happened at the same machine to a few friends. I then went to a cash machine down the road (Halifax my bank) and took out…

RBS - the way they process bank charges
I’m currently in dispute with RBS in relation to the way they apply/ process bank charges to current accounts. In brief, my son tends to be a bit scatter-brained when it comes to managing his finances and had asked for my help in trying to avoid incurring unnecessary bank charges. As part of this we had been monitoring his…
