Cash machine error? Taken money from my account!

I went to a cash machine last week (Barclay's) and tried to draw out £120 to pay a bill. The machine said that my card issuer would not authorise the transaction and spit my card back at me - this has happened at the same machine to a few friends. I then went to a cash machine down the road (Halifax my bank) and took out the money.
I got a statement today and it says that i received the money - what can i do to get it back, i obviously need to go and see my bank but just want to know my rights
Just to clarify my account shows 2 withdrawls form 2 cash machines - i accept the second one but the first one the cash machine said that it had been decliend and no cash was given

Go into your bank and tell them that you would like to dispute an ATM withdrawal. They will ask you for details of where/when etc, and then take it from there.
The ATM will not have balanced at the end of the day - it will have had £120 more than it should have, so they will quickly find this out and be able to refund the money.0 -
Yes, contact Halifax. They'll raise it as an ATM reciprocity case. What would William Shatner do?0

It can take up to 6 weeks so be prepared for a wait.0
