Sky Broadband Price Increase
Hi All I have just looked at my future bills and November onwards the price of my Sky Broadband is going up. I did a new 18 month contract at the start of the year, so just wondering if anyone knew why it would go up 8 months in? It is only a couple of pounds, but I thought once a price had been agreed for a contract it…

BT tricked me into a new contract
I phoned BT few months ago and complained about my high bill. I said I'm not happy with how much I'm paying and would be interested in leaving BT. Adviser over the phone offered me a discount for next few months to which I agreed. I recently found out that my bill went up again and after calling them I found out that last…

When should my final bill be from.
My 18 month broadband contract had come to an end with plusnet so on the 9th of august they sent me an email to say they will be taking a payment of £29.98 and this will leave my account on or after 14/08/2018. I then thought this was to expensive so I tried to get a better deal but they couldn't match other suppliers so I…

Plusnet new billing system throws a wobbler
Plusnet took my DD twice this month, once on the 10th and then again today. I got in touch with them and they said they'd only received one payment so it must be down to the bank. I know they've just introduced a new billing system so it seems a bit too much of a coincidence to me! I got my bank to reverse one of the…

Talk Talk relation with Oath and data protection issues
A company called Oath appears to have developed some commercial interest in my Mobile/Broadband Service provider (Talk Talk) whose site I visited. On closing my Talk Talk web account, I suddenly started getting messages to allow them access to my internet browsing. However, there is no ability for me to actually manage my…

Property does not appear to have a landline
When we were going through broadband and fibre offers, no provider was able to make us a quote because our address does not seem to be in their databases, even though there is a landline present in the flat. Our landlord went to the property with a handset to check whether it was working, but it seems like it's…

Moving to new build - no broadband for a month!
Hi guys, me and my fianc!e are moving into a new build on Friday this week. Stupidly thought it would be a straightforward thing to set up the broadband. Unfortunately, whilst all the fibre box is in our house, Openreach say they won’t be able to get everything up and running until 10th October. Can’t go a month without…

I am mid way through my Virgin Media landline and broadband contract. I have received an email saying my monthly cost will increase from 1 November. Virgin Media
I currently get internet and landline phone (24/7) from VM. In few months, I will renew my contract with VM. I still want the internet but I want the phone with less service as I hardly use it to make outgoing calls. I don't want internet without landline as I may receive incoming calls. What you do advice? Thanks

Switched fibre ISP - speed went up by 50%
Just recently (yesterday) got a new basic fibre contract with Now TV broadband on a special offer. After getting decent speeds with Plusnet originally 18 months ago (low to mid 20's Mbps), after a while, and I can't say exactly when, it dropped down to mid teens but my predicted speed on Plusnet appeared to say "up to 18…

What are ADSL speeds like these days?
Hello all. Firstly, I am aware that broadband speeds are dependent upon your line, distance from cabinets etc. I'm also aware that fibre is faster and more reliable than ADSL. However, I've been using fibre for the past few years, and to be frank, I don't need 38Mb speed. And although there are some fairly good fibre…

Sky Broadband - Can I Cancel in Cooling Off Period and Choose a Different New Customer Deal?
Hi, I've recently moved into a new flat and set up internet with Sky's basic broadband package. However, I don't think I can live with these speeds so would like to switch to a fibre contract. I'm still within my cooling-off period, so my question is: If I cancel this contract, will I still be able to take advantage of new…
