Have I been stiffed by Virgin Media?
Hi all, some advice needed and I apologise if this turns into a long wall of text. Some background info. Early December 2015 I was contacted by a door to door Virgin Media salesman to discuss packages. Been with BT Infinity since 2011. Try something new?
I have been a BT Infinity customer since 2011 and overall I have been very happy (have the 'up to 76Mb' and my speeds are pretty close to that so very good). However, I now pay £49.30 pm for broadband and line rental which feels expensive (I let the line rental saver expire in Dec15 so I could move if I wanted without…

Those who left oversubscribed Virgin Media cable areas, what's your experience?
I've been with Virgin Media fibre for a number of years, the past couple of years I've experienced massive decreases in speed at peak times, usually getting 1-2mb (from a 53mb non-peak). Apparently my area is hugely oversubscribed, but I've foolishly remained with them, falling for the 'we're upgrading the area, done in a…

Hi. I decided to change from TalkTalk to PlusNet. Even though I was no longer in contract with TalkTalk, I gave them 30 days notice of change before contacting PlusNet. Virgin Media - When I leave....
At the moment I have BT Infinity +1 38MB which runs out on the 14th. The have offered an OK deal - £10.85 + line rental to continue. Service is OK, but runs between 7 and 10MB download - far below the advertised rate. I am tempted by Virgin SuperFibre 50 - £5 plus line rental, should save about £60. However, if I go with…
