Been with BT Infinity since 2011. Try something new?

I have been a BT Infinity customer since 2011 and overall I have been very happy (have the 'up to 76Mb' and my speeds are pretty close to that so very good).
However, I now pay £49.30 pm for broadband and line rental which feels expensive (I let the line rental saver expire in Dec15 so I could move if I wanted without losing prepayments).
TT has some decent offers on but would I be able to negotiate with BT or will they just say 'no deal for existing customers'?

I shall give them a call and see what they offer. I was very tempted by Plusnet but have been reading recent experiences/reviews about them, and have now decided not to touch them with a barge-pole.0 -

I think all ISPs are pretty much the same. Just go for the cheapest deal.0 -
That's what I'm thinking too. I will talk to BT and if that doesn't bear any fruit I will probably move to TT.0

I've been with TT for about 8 years and TBH, they've been OK - not brilliant but OK. They've always been helpful and amenable when I've had an issue and they've sorted things out quite quickly.
They have some good deals on for new customers at the moment.0 -
You may also like to have a look at Sky or EE0

If you don't need BT Sport you can get a cheaper price plus cashback by switching. Personally, I would give TT a very wide berth.0

Had no issues with Plusnet personally, I was expecting delays from openreach who did the upgrade and installed the box.
But they arrived bang on time.
The only negative was my router had not arrived when the engineer installed everything but i had a spare BT one that worked. The replacement router arrived very quickly. Turned out my neighbour had the router and forgot about it for over 6 weeks.
I avoid Sky and TT but that leaves little competition these days.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
That sounds really expensive for line rental and unlimited fibre only.
Even without a new customer offer Sky is 17.99 line rental and fibre is 20 a month (new customer would probably get at the least fibre half price.)I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
