I found Origin intriguing and liked the fact they have their Yorkshire based support. Pricing was not at all bad but not as good as Talk Talk. I called up BT to see what they could offer me to stay. Spoke to a perfectly polite chap but the best they could do matching the TT package cost £45pm without line rental saver. The equivalent TT was £31pm.

Hence, I have signed up with TT today.

I'll let everyone know how that goes and whether I'll soon be regretting (or rejoicing - hopefully!) this decision.

I'm with Origin since August 2015, I wanted to avoid BT since a billing issue I had with them took almost 2 year to sort. So I signed up with Origin thinking they are a small independent ISP, but they resold me PlusNet who are owned by BT so I am kinda back with BT again (according to my IP lookup).

But you know, I can see the funny side of it, and the connection is cheap and rock solid so bit of a first world problem. I'm happy enough with them.

Update: Over 3 months in and so far I have had no problems at all. I have not had to deal with Talk Talk in any way so far so can't comment on any customer service shortfalls. My bank balance definitely appreciates being with TT compared to BT.
