Virgin Media - When I leave....

At the moment I have BT Infinity +1 38MB which runs out on the 14th. The have offered an OK deal - £10.85 + line rental to continue. Service is OK, but runs between 7 and 10MB download - far below the advertised rate.
I am tempted by Virgin SuperFibre 50 - £5 plus line rental, should save about £60. However, if I go with this, I will get a new fibre line and I presume the BT land line will be disconnected but not removed. This is fine, but what happens next year when my contract is up and I change again? Will a provider that requires a BT line charge me for reconnection?
Thanks in advance for any answers, and sorry for the long post!

I would have thought so. Because you want open reach to reinstate the fibre connection which may have been used for someone else.
What's the point of spoiling yourself for 18 months ?
Ps where is the offer?
Have a look at Sky instead. £5 + 17.50.
But shouldn't increase as much as VM!
Free caller display.
From month 13 it will still be better than the bt deal!0 -
