Line rental increased December from £16.40 to £17.40 and call packages were revamped, you are now on eve/weekend calls at £4.00 per month.
You should've been notified Oct/Nov of these changes and had 30 days to cancel at that time.

Give them a call and, if you did refuse the new £4 package you will get a refund. If you didn't refuse, you can cancel still cancel the package and have just pay as you go calls.

Check your actuall Call charges and from when.

I got the letter and rang them straight away in October to say I didn't want to go on the £4 a month plan. It said in the letter that it didn't start till December 1st and I merrily kept maing my 'free calls' up to 30th November. I found out when I got my bill that they had started charging for my calls straight away in October. I rang them and they listened to the transcript. A refund of all my call charges, around £15 was promptly given. I too didn't need it really because I have 500 free mintues on my mobile.
This is the trouble with paperless billing, they hope you don't notice and it was only by chance that I did

I have a free phone number for Sky and will post it when I find it

You can easily keep track of your Sky costs and other stuff via the Sky Service App.
FYI If you take Sky phone and broadband then all call to Sky are free.
