I’m considering taking a LILA Bankruptcy
Hello, First of all, can I say a big THANK YOU:T to all of the contributors of this forum, some of the Q&A have really helped to ease my nervousness and inhibitions. A little about my case: I had my first Store Card at the age of 18 years, with a limit of 500.00, I was not working and did not own a penny to my name. ID…

'Reasons for Bankruptcy' part of the form
I've written my 'reasons' but it seems ridiculously long, although (in my opinion) it's all relevant. I'd rather not post it on here as it is rather personal but is there anyone willing to take a look and offer an opinion if I PM it to them. (Er, I assume I can PM - haven't checked tbh and I'm new to the forum). There's no…

Hi all, After many years of trying to claw back some ground on the debts I incurred through a combination of greed when the property market was good, pig headedness, plain stupidity - and maybe just a little bad luck, I've finally admitted defeat. After reading through a fair bit on here, I decided to do it online and bite…

Things to be aware of while Bankrupt and after discharge
I was thinking it might be useful to put together a list of things that may be problematic once someone is declared bankrupt. This isn't meant to scare people off, but just to make sure they are informed. 1) Obtaining credit. The most obvious one. Even after discharge, your BR will be on your credit file for a further 5…
