SOA Help
My husband and I are both going BR. Preparing our SOA's am i right in thinking; 1. We both put the income from child benefit and maintenance payments from my ex as an income (can't see this as it then appears twice if you add it all together) 2. We split down the middle all the household expenses (we earn similar amounts)…

The Last Penny Has Finally Dropped
My husband has massive debts, Northern Rock, Halifax, Egg, Lombard.... all totalling around £100,000. As we are in Scotland, last year he signed up for a DAS - which he has been paying for 12 months now - which makes £6000 toward his debt. At the time I found out about all this (yer damn right, it was a hell of a shock) I…

Foster care allowances
Bit of a niche one this but does anyone know if the OR can touch foster carer allowances? They're generally considered inviolate, they don't affect benifits for example and are only taxed once you're earning a lot, you can get around 25K before you pay anything at all.

OR and work related dilemma

House Value
Who decides if your house has equity or not - surely they cannot tell unless they try and sell it? Is it based on a valuation that is actually carried out or a general idea from the surrounding area?

Can I have your comments please?
We are thinking about whether we should go BR (due to a £14k reduction in wages) on our unsecured debt in the hope we could keep our house which we are pretty confident is in negative equity although we have not had it valued but to have any equity it must be worth more than we paid for it in 2005 which I just don't think…

Payments on surplas income
Exactly how does the payment scale on your surplas income work? I know that I've read they won't take anything if you have less than £100 left, but does that mean £99 = nothing, £150 = £75, or, £99 = nothing £150 = £25, half of the excess over £100?
