How long to banks freeze your accounts?
I went BR on the 13th Aug (OR interview tomorrow:confused: ). I had a quick call with the OR assistant the same day but that has been it so far. Neither Nationwide (Basic account) or Citibank have stopped my account. I forgot to cancel one of my DD and they took it out of Citibank, who let it go through and now I am in an…

Refused a co-op savings account
Hi I'm a discharged (dec 05) bankrupt, I ve had a co-op cashminder account since the start of my bankruptcy, I've had no problems with the account, I decided it would be a good idea to start a savings account putting perhaps £10 a week away to help with birthdays and christmas etc, I ask the co-op for a savings account and…

IPA Question
I've been asked a question re IPAs which I can't find the answer to. Just wondered if anybody has been in this scenario? You go BR while on benefits so no IPA is initiated, not even for the No Tax if not employed. You then subsequently, at some point before discharge gain employment and advise the OR accordingly. Does the…

keep finding new questions!!
I am going to court next week re. bankruptcy. I've given notice on the flat I am in (paying £925 per month) and will be moving in with a friend in the first week of October. My intention was to just provide the change of address but is the OR going to want to see a rent agreement or something when I move? I was hoping I'd…

one more question about loan from friend
A friend took out a loan for me when I couldn't get a good credit card rate (credit card rate had been 0% but when that ended it went up to 25%) and I have been paying her back at £300 per month (what she has to pay for the loan). I still have 4 months to pay (including payment next week). Should I declare this? I was…

Follow up question SOA attached now
Hi again YOu guys have given me feedback saying that if I have a surplus of £150 per month after everything is taken into account, I'd pay 50% of that to the OR ... what happens if I am leaving the country within the 12 month period? Do I have to continue paying that from the country I am in? thanks again.

Anyone have experience of joint IPAs?
Hi all, Both me and hubby are going BR mid-sept. As we have to file individually, and presumably will each be given an IPA if our DI allows, does that mean we would need to have a surplus of £99 EACH to warrant an IPA? Thanks, CG. x

When am I actually declared bankrupt?
I thought it was when I went in front of the judge... is this right? Or do I have to wait until after the OR interview? I have timed things so that I go to court next Wednesday and then have about 3 and half weeks to get the new bank account set up for my salary to be paid in at the end of September ... now I'm worrying…
