Ok, So Sad Angels post has inspired me to write this post. Over the past couple of years I have changed quite dramatically and have 'pulled my head out of the sand' in lots of different ways... A couple of old traits that are slowly dying hard are 1) Asking for help (its took me ages to post this thread) - helping others…

Surrending home?
Can you do this? Where £23,000 in debt and OH has lost his job. Where in a debt management plan, but mortgage is tight. Would look to sell, but don't think we'd get enough (owe £82,000, would need £86,000 or more to be okay). Plus don't have the time to wait for it to sell. So can you just surrender your house? This would…

If the OR takes your car..
What is the process. Our car according to Parker's is worth 3,400. (I made an error and thought 3000 initially). However, the thrust bearing is going, it has a small dent from a previous bump (unknown driver in car park) and it has had two repairs from other bumps - none of them my fault, i hasten to add. If the OR says he…

Considering IVA
Hi I subscribe to the DMP thread within this site, however, if it's possible can someone explain the pros and cons of an IVA. I'm on a DMP via Payplan, and have been advised by them to consider an IVA, I've looked at the information available but just cannot get my head round it. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
