If the OR takes your car..

What is the process. Our car according to Parker's is worth 3,400. (I made an error and thought 3000 initially). However, the thrust bearing is going, it has a small dent from a previous bump (unknown driver in car park) and it has had two repairs from other bumps - none of them my fault, i hasten to add. If the OR says he wants the car that would cause unnecessary suffering to my wife because we have many hospital & doctors appointments and need it for work. She cannot use taxi's & buses. We also have other medical reasons why we need that type of car (MPV). If it is taken, do they leave you without for a while while you look for a replacement or do they give you time to buy another first?

In the beginning, there was nothing.
The Lord said "Let there be light".
There was still nothing, but you could see it.
