Anyone used suncar.co.uk for car hire?

I usually use carjet - but suncar are about £40 cheaper for 10 days.
Not sure if they are any good or not.
Love carjet - not sure if I should take the chance to switch!

It only has phone numbers and email addresses for contact details.

I have just returned from Turkey and used Suncar.co.uk to hire a car. Imagine my suprise having paid them I was then confronted by the car hire company in Turkey demanding a further payment as they had received nothing from Suncar.
Currently waiting to receive a 'credit' back, apparently due to technical difficulties. So I will reserve judgement until then, however, would advise proceeding with caution and checking with the hire company at the destination you are going to that they have been paid or you may be in for a shock !!!0 -
I like a fool booked a car through this company and just over a week later received an email to say that this car was no longer available. I have spent the rest of the day trying to get my money back. I paid via Paypal so will raise a claim through them.
What I have found out along the way is the claims department is [EMAIL="claims@decodecarhire.co.uk"]claims@decodecarhire.co.uk[/EMAIL] and a telephone number is 08006226300 for an operator but NOT to the claims department, they only deal via email. I have been told my money will be returned this week or next maybe. This means they have my money for 1 month before/if I get it back.
I did a search on decodecarhire reviews and they are mainly 1/5 rated

I am adding to this-got charged an extra delivery charge-what was not mentioned by Suncar-so though they appear cheap-it isnt so and they havent responded to my email and today when I phoned, the attidtude is take it up with the company.
As I had done that already and forwarded the response into my email to Suncar, I rang back- no answer, so I used my mobile-and guess what! they answered-but my mobile cut out- so tried again and no answer. So if you do call, withhold your number if you can-silly me doesnt know how to-but wont use them again0 -
I booked with suncar to collect at Alicante on 10/7/10 and paid in full,when i got to the car hire desk i was given a piece of paper to say that suncar had charged me in error and i would be refunded and i had to pay in full again at the desk direct to the hire car company.
On return home i have been in touch by email to request my refund (decode now not suncar)and have been told that i will be refunded in 28days but that they cannot refund it to my credit card and i need to supply my bank details for them to make the refund which i am worried about,this caused me to look on this forum and get even more concerned.Help0 -

:mad: Just an update to my earlier post on this forum. Suncar or Decode have still not refunded my money, have contacted my credit card provider to try and get my money back, still waiting.
My advice to anyone who thinks of using SUNCAR is do not do it, there is obviously a scam going on and you will regret it. There are other posts on different forums with the same issues.
