I find it really interesting how folk want to buy one and sell on... making money. i.e Greedy. Which is what the bankers are... and folk on here are complaining about them, charges, banks etc. So some folk on here are no different. Interesting. So it all goes around and around... Don't forget, this time next year this device will be out of date and cheap as chip paper (not the chips in it)... folk need to calm down and get a reality check and think about what it is they are buying... honestly.0

I used to work at DSG (don't shout at me!) , and our store, operated a scheme where if they couldnt issue the collect at store, they would give you an similar model..

Or just people who see an opportunity to make money out of the 'hard work' looking for these on the cheap.
A lot of the information we're getting about potential sales are from such people, which is helping legitimate people find the deals themselves.
Edit: Also,Just spoke to someone at Play.com - They will NOT be reducing price. If they dont sell them, they are sending them back to HP.0 -
anyone had any luck with the difference refunded with comet0

I'm looking for two - one for me and hubby and one for my niece. My sister was planning to buy a tablet for my niece for her xmas and had asked my husband to check out rpices as she isn't techie like that - when we told her the price of the ipdad and backberry slab, she was going off the idea. But at £99 this is much more do-able for her. So I'm not planning to sell one!0

Hi Folks
I have just bought a 16gb HP Tablet off expanseys for full price (£360), apparently they will not charge your account or dispatch until they have recieved the stock and confirm you still want the product (in which case I was thinking I will not accept it unless the price has come down).
Has anyone else heard if this is the case or done something similar with Expanseys?
Thanks0 -
Has anyone ordered one from Expansys? They're full price at the moment, and on "pre-order", but the 2:12 update on that itportal page says they won't send it out without warning you first.

I posted up about Currys yesterday evening. The staff in these shops are basically robbing customers, cancelling orders then re-booking for themselves.
Tbh I wouldnt expect anything less from Comet/Currys/PC World, i tend to buy independantly and steer well clear, but sadly i succombed to the cheap offer of these Touchpads. Unless an offer comes along like this ever again I will be steering well clear of these shoddy shops which offer no customer experience or knowledge of the products they actually sell.
If you can get one from these retailers go for it, but I would strongly advise that you never shop in these places when after a "normal" purchase.
I suggest everyone emails the Head Offices of these companies to complain.
You would think these corporations would frown upon their staff blagging all the bargains simply so they can sell them on Ebay at a vastly inflated profit.
To add further insult to injury, these employees most probably get staff discount too, upwards of 10% at some places. So that £89 Touchpad costs them about £80, maybe less.
This behaviour does nothing but alienate potential customers. Why should I shop at PCW, Comet, Dixons, etc when I know that the moment a bargain pops up, the employees have first dabs? Furthermore why should I ever return for a future sale? Undervalued as a customer and treated with contempt, reservations and orders cancelled and mysteriously vanishing, it stinks.0 -
