TBH I would never have expected O2 to get 4G anywhere I go during this contract period except my occasional jaunt to London so I don't feel mis-sold it as it didn't factor for me. May have done for others though. I do feel some may jump on it as a way to get out of their contract though!0

I have been a vodafone user for a long time in London and bought the iPhone5 directly from Apple with a view to start using the 4G when it became ready. I'm very disappointed if this is now not going to be possible.
But Im not quite sure where I stand as I didn't purchase the device from the network carrier.
any thoughts?
Best regards,0 -
It's been known since release that the iP5 would only work on EE and Three's LTE service.0

would not be anything to do with the iPhone 5S coming out soon, that no doubt will work 4G on 02 & voda.
I can hardly get 3G on 02 in most places so would not even consider upgrading to a newer phone just for 4G.
Have the 4S and wont change it till it stops working.0 -

Best regards,
if your plan was to always use 4G on vodafone why did you not check that it would be possible before ?
its been know for a long time that the iPhone 5 would not be compatible with vodafones 4G network.
Vodafone were running thier 4G promise where they would exchange peoples phone for a new 4G one (basically cancelling the existing contract and taking out a new one at no extra cost) But this would only be if you got the phone and contract from Vodafone0 -
Don't worry iPhone users, the new iPhone 5S will feature 4G available to use on Vodafone, it will be released in a few weeks time.
Soon the battery life will be measured in minutes rather than hours!0 -
Aren't we scraping the bottom of the 'mis-selling'- barrel now? Really?:hello:0

The only real scenario you can get angry over is if you have specifically asked if this would work with 4G on either O2/Vodafone when they launch the network. If you haven't questioned it or looked into it before you agreed the contract you have no entitlement to a new technology just because friends on EE/Three do.
The coverage seems so minimal on O2 and Vodafone at the moment anyway. Funny this is coming up more and more right before the next iPhone is about to launch.0
