I have never had a problem after booking at the special £19 per room. As this is usually well in advance, I always make a point of ringing the hotel in question a day or so before, or early in the day of arrival, to confirm that I am coming and at what time I anticipate my arrival.

In the same way, if something unforeseen occurs and I am unable to take up the offer, I let them know so that the room can be re-released.

I've just booked a night at London Liverpool St for £19. Sale went on early, as usual!

Im so annoyed been awake at 2am, 3am 3.45am and now 5am checking for the sale and the Sat I need a room in London they dont have any!

So need a room for friends 30th on 4th April but none that night so dont think Il be going as was banking on a cheaper room:rolleyes:

No other dates I need, doesnt seem as many sale rooms this time for London?

Hope others get rooms they want!

All sorted I tried the mobile booking service and found a £19 room in central London so pleased!

Worth checking via there if you cant find the rooms you want!

SALE STARTS AT 5.45AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I called Head Office yesterday to check and they said 6am but good job I got in earlier . . . )

I just bought two rooms on two nights in London city centre for 19.00GBP each!!

But you have to be in early to do it. Set up two windows on your screen and keep typing in both to make sure you are going as quickly as possible! Can't wait to go now!!

Still rooms there in April, using the map view is coming up with better prices than the normal search.

Alisont - there is a room at city road, pretty central for that night coming in at £19. edit, didn't your post properly!


Got mine in london, really pleased, as almost booked at £50/night last week.

Worst sale they had for while. Not many 19 rooms to be had. Mostly 29.

Bagged myself an even better deal, got myself a 20euro room in Barcelona at Easter..... £17.82 , well chuffed as i expected to pay 55euros for it

I just got myself a room at London Gatwick Travelodge for Friday the 10th @ £19, going boarding the next morning early... Cheaper than a cab to the airport

I'm taking my girls to Alton Towers for the first time on April 20th, I have entered Alton Towers into Travelodge and it has come up with Ashbourne for £19 the Sunday night for us to get an early start on Monday, can anyone confirm this is the nearest or easiest to Alton Towers? I have never been to this area before and want to make the visit enjoyable

they very rarely have saturday nights included in the offers

but with good transport links in london, you might have been better off looking for a travelodge on the outskirts, near a tube station, rather than central london

the details for the hotel say its only 6miles from Alton Towers, so book it before it goes. it might not be the nearest or easiest, but is nearish and its cheap, so why dither?

Managed to get a few days in Ringwood in April at £19 rate but not a 6.00 a.m. but a few minutes after and through the mobile web site link.

It didn't start till 6am for me, but I did get 2 nights in Covent Garden Travelodge for 19 per night (sharing with a friend). To add to this, I got return coach from Bradford to London for 10.50 (thank you National Express) and my ticket for the Body Worlds exhibition at the O2 for 6 instead of 12 (thank you to the kind posters on this forum for giving me the code).

So, I've got a trip to London worth over 100 for a third of the price. I'm a very happy girl.

Over the past year I have enjoyed several stays at Travelodges in UK - they allowed you to take a dog for £10 per stay, which I usually do.

I booked several stays for 2009 in their sale in December 2008, up to a 2 night stay in August 2009. I booked as I could take my dog with me again; there was no facility to book the dog in 2008, you had to ring the Travelodge in question a few days before arrival to inform them & pay the £10 rate for dog on arrival. This was instruction given by Travelodge which worked OK.

On recently trying to book another stay, I found out they have increased their charge for dog by 100% to £20 per stay without informing anyone. They now also have facility to book the dog online at the time of booking stay. I am on their mailing list & was not informed of increased rate for dogs.

When I checked with Travelodge they inform me that I have to pay the increased dog rate on the stays I have already booked for this year - even though I booked them back in December last year. As I said, at that time the dog rate was £10 & no online facility to book the dog, just told to ring each Travelodge a few days before stay & pay on arrival. I only book these stays on the understanding I can take my dog with me & they are cheap. Now it will cost me total of extra £100 on stays I have already booked & paid for last year!

What is the use of a £9 per night room charge when you have to pay £20 for your dog. Children stay free & if parents eat then the children can eat free too! My experience is that children are much more nuisance than a dog in hotel room yet they stay & eat for free. Travelodge provide nothing for this £20 dog charge - not even a water bowl & the people who bother to take a dog do not allow them to make mess such as kids do!

It is very unfair to increase the dog charge now on stays I booked & paid for last year & on the terms available then. If this is Travelodge goodwill after my being a good customer of theirs, then I shall not stay with them again!:confused:

Surely a dog is more likely to crap on the carpet then a child though? Or at least thats what I'd expect. And not everyones dog may not be as clean as yours, personally I wouldn't want to stay in a room where a dog had previously been if it was flea infested.

I emailed them 2 weeks ago to ask about this and am stillawaiting a reply, as like you we take the kids and the dog, and its a joke the dog costs more than the kids now, and like you we would have paid upfront when we booked, but that wasn't the option then.

the clean-up after a dog has been in a room, should be more indepth, than if a child has stayed, and that is what you are paying for. Kids dont leave hairs all over a room, their scent, fleas, or excrement (unless they have trod in some left behind by a thoughtless dog owner)

Personally i hate the fact Travelodge allow animals in rooms, but hate the fact more, that some people wont leave the house without their pet attached to their hip. There are times and places for animals, and in a hotel room is not one of them
