Recent £50 High Street voucher incentive on Barclaycard Platinum

I made my first purchases on my Barclaycard Platinum card today and I was wondering if anyone who applied for the card under the £50 incentive scheme has actually received their high street voucher yet.

From what I've read on here, we are all at the same stage. It now remains to be seen how quickly the voucher applications are sent, whether they are for the correct promotion, or if they are sent at all.

Sorry MKUX3 but I am sure the closing date for applications was midnight on 29th October. Yes, Stephen - looks like we'll just have to wait and see with fingers crossed.

I have called up four times and now sent a letter of complaint as no one has been able to confirm I am on the £50 voucher offer. I signed up on the right website at the right time and made a purchase. When I ask the call centre they have no idea what I am talking about. It is not looking good.

They are trying to rip everybody off as they told me something about vouchers are issued 28 days after first purchase, this in not the same deal, that was an old offer for a £10 House of Fraser voucher.

The £50 T&Cs states within 14 days of youyr first purchase you will be sent a form asking you to select which store you want the £50 for. Anyone had that form yet?

Its an absolute rip off.

I applied on the Saturday before the Monday deadline. I received the card and on activating it was asked why I chose the card I said to receive the £50 High St voucher. The person told me that it was not the offer with the platignum card, but the offer was a £10 House of Fraser voucher to be sent out on the first use of the card. :mad:

I am still waiting for the voucher application form, but I am nowhere near the 14 days - yet.

I suspect that it will be more of a c*ck up than a rip off. I have a bad feeling about the £50 offer depending on tracking online applications from just one site (Moneysupermarket).

I took prints as well, but I think its going to be a long fight to get the £50. Barclaycard won't be hearing from me ever again after this. I've spent my £0.79p on card and will pay by cheque so it hopefully all costs them more to process and close account.

I have received a letter from Barclays complaint team today, I asked the simple could you confirm my card is on the £50 voucher offer.

There reply.....Thanks for your letter we are investigating your query and will reply in full by 22/11/07.

I agree that this is not looking good. They must get instantaneous notification of all purchases and they must know which cards qualify under the scheme. So why don't they just launch off the application forms to people who qualify? It looks as if they will be getting more than a few complaints and cancelled cards if they don't honour their promis.
