MBNA have my account,but it has since been handed over too a collection agency.who do i send the letter too,mbna or collection agent.
can i claim from finance company.ie black horse

just got statements back from black horse,and was gob smacked at the amount of interest they have charged.£1700.am i right in thinking that i can claim this back.please help!!!!!!!!

I dont think you can claim back interest per se, because its loaded into the payments when you sign up.

However you can claim back late payment charges, and any interest that is charged onto those. However its hard to work out, initally its best to reclaim the charges and then if the case goes further, then add 8% to the total amount that is being claimed back.

my charges range from £35 to £51 on different months.i also asked for my settlement figure and that is more than my actual balance.
i also have an account with welcome finance,can i not claim that back my interest of them either

am i right in saying you cant claim against finance companies because their interest is calculated into the loan.
i asked for a settlement figure and its more than the actual balance.

If the charges are made up of late payment fees. You can reclaim them. You cannot claim back interest on a loan (no matter how much the interest rate is).

yes you can claim from these companies.

same process request statements and go from there

I have recently taken over my fiance's paperwork and discovered that he has payed an enormous amount of 'late payment fees', 'admin fee's', etc some of these being nearly £60 each!
Is it possible for us to claim these charges back from them, as I am already in the process of claiming the bank charges back.
