Hi, this is the Daily Thread for xx (add date). This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Still a horrible smell in kitchen! dont know how i will get rid of it!:eek:
Been snowing again overnight, bit more snow but will prob melt later on, have got my scarf ready on the heater for taking the kids to school.:D
Plans today:
Keep warm
get rid of that horrid smell
Put on bm
Hugs

Morning!
Not usually up so early but woke up an hour ago! Raining and gusty winds down here in London.
Am moving house very soon and have most of the day off so will be starting some packing and organising.
In OS style I'm going to do a MEGA-store-cupboard challenge. I'll be leaving my flat at the end of feb and it would be nice to have the food cupboard cleared out and nothing chucked in the bin!

The weather is very bad here and it is blowing a gale and lashing down. :eek:
Just woken everyone up and my OH is busily organising coffee and breakfasts, and I am just about to have a quick shower and then help them all to dress before I go to work and my OH will take them later.
I am not looking forward to the walk home after work and as it's off a bus route I may have to order a taxi if this storm is still going on.:mad:
Anyhow, I must get moving, at least we need no shopping today I will have a quick raid of the freezer when I get home and cobble something together.

kyle ... you are so lucky having snow .. its just wind and rain here down in the south coast.
didnt get to go to town yesterday, so if it ever stops raining then i might pop there after work this morning, was hoping to have a walk on the beach today, but i doubt it looking at the weather !
just made a nice gresh fruit salad for later, am going to have garlic & lemon chicken, baby roasties and roasted root veggies tonight.
Did anyone watch the new series of Wild at heart on Sunday ? i was so shocked when Tate died... i think that Stephen Tomlison is so nice .

Morning. Pretty wet and windy here too.
Off to work soon, only really a half day as the afternoon is a training day. So should be home a good time tonight.

Morning Chums
very wet'n'windy here in Noth kent .I have been up since 4.30.am.I woke with my joints giving me gyp' and after laying there for about 20 minutes gave up and decided that I wouldn't get back to sleep ,so decided to make a start on de-cluttering my computer room. I am an amatuer genealogist, and I have about eight different 'trees' on the go at the moment, so the amaount of paperwork has to be seen to be believed.
It's amazing where it all comes from .I have so many scraps of paper with different bits of info. on them that once I started I got a bit side-tracked .But I did manage to write a few more letteres looking for info. from folk, so the day has been quite productive so far.
I have a couple of birthday cards that I have to finish off today ( I also like crafting ) so that shouldn't take too long hopefully .
I have to take one of my granddaughters to the orthodontist this afternoon she is having her dreaded brace removed .Our Holly will be a happy little lass this afternoon, and I will be the greatest Granny in the world . I hope the weather doesn't get any worse though as I have to drive to Maidstone, and Bluebell Hill is full of trees so I will be keeping my head down !!. May go to the craft centre afterwards for some tea and cake, a little TLC goes a long way with our Holls.
I have been very busy the last few days planning my forth-coming trip to the US with my pal from Dartford.We are hoping to go to New York,Washington and Richmond with a slight detour to see the Amish folk in Lancaster. We both enjoy history so it should be a good trip.
I also at some time have to fit in a trip to Disneyland Paris as a treat for one of my grandsons as he's just done his 11+, fingers crossed he does well..
It's not all beer and skittles being retired you know ,I could do with a 36 hour day, or a ten day week to fit all the things in that I want to do.I never have time to be bored I'm far too busy.
One of these days I suppose I'll have to slow down a bit ,but not just yet.
I hope everyone has a good day and (((hugs))) to those in need.
Roll on the spring ,I love it when the daffs are out it seems to brighten up everyones day.

Dh just gone to work so im have 5 minutes before doing pack ups.
Not much planned today, may bake some buns for tommorows pack ups as dont really want to shop today.
