There are threads on what you have / haven't spent. Threads on what you've bought, what menus you've planned. But I was always horrified at how much food I chucked out before I started budgeting - so come on folks - confession time!
I'll start off with:
1 manky lemon
1 rotten chilli pepper - and that's it for the week! Am absolutley thrilled!:j

Great thread Idea there Ali
Ive failed a bit this week as we have no room left in the freezer
4 slices of bread
and some left over chilli ( most of it burned to the bottom of the pan)
adn some remaining chicken rogan josh about to be binned as well ( barely a portion)
Although, all my waste is now going in my new wormery :j so its not technically wasted :A as I will get some compost out of it lol:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Good thread, makes me think what I buy and whats ends up in the bin!!!!

Ooh, I used to be really terrible, having to throw away half my organic veg box as it got manky really quick, and I've never been presented with things like chard and artichokes to know how to cook them! But I'm learning. And it went into my brown compost wheely bin, so not technically a waste.
This week nothing, cos I did a big cookoff earlier in the week to make sure I didn't. But there's time yet. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Great thread - I used to throw away tons. Since starting my money saving offensive, I'm pleased to say I have only thrown out the remains of one bag of parsley. But I did feel really guilty coz I should have chopped it & frozen it! The effect the DFW boards have on you...:rotfl:0

Humm, you been watching me? I strayed into the vegetable drawer of my fridge this evening looking for 'salad things'. OH has been away all week, so I haven't been eating properly
and all the veggies I bought with good intentions had turned to mush urghhh! We do compost though (big garden) so they will be recycled.:D
