hi
wondered if anyone culd give me any advice, i started trying to reclaim ppi on 5 loans i had taken out with a single ppi attached, when i was getting no where fast i was advised to go through loancheck, which i did and they sent out a gntleman that acted on their behalf to help me fill in all the paperwork, this was then passed onto a solicitoe back in may 2008. i was told bby this solicitor that he would write to me every 28 days with a report of what was happening with my claims, which he did do to start off with but since february of this year i can't get hold of him, i have made several phone calls and he is never in the office, sent lots of e mails and letters but never get a response. i even contacted loancheck and was told that a manager would call me back to discuss this matter but no one ever called. i'm at a complete loss as to what to do now as i was told by the solicitor originally i had a good case but when i last spoke to him he told me that a barrister would have to be used and now it wasn't looking that good. any advice would be much appreciated.
thanks inn advance

Hi there
I would then ask to withdraw, tell them you don't want this going any further, they "should not" charge you anything if you not been successful anyway, do make sure on this, if this was the case then I would refuse and tell them it did not end up going anywhere so you feel its only right to withdraw and request for all your documents back.
Then I would contact the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) to ask if they are able to help you, as some they have even had resubmitted on the ones they did originally refuse to deal with.

The FOS may write to the banks on your behalf if you ask them to and give details of your reclaim.;)
I did not get charged when I asked for my paperwork back, mine did not go any further with them and trying again with the FOS. XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
hi Di
thanks for coming back to me so quickly, i have already had these turned down with the fos, i originally got these loans through Ocean Finance but loancheck and the solicitor both said that i had to pursue the lenders not the brokers. i have just heard that loancheck have gone bust. i have had a look at my paperwork which i signed when loancheck first appointed the solicitor and it states on there that if i pull out i will get charged for the work carried out so far. i feel very confused and frustrated as to what to do next but will try and contact the solicitor again to see what he says although i don't hold out much hope.
thanks again x0 -

Hi hun
Your welcome.;)
Mine was also with the FOS before and was turned away, but some have resubmitted and the FOS are trying to look at other direction of how to get these resolved, maybe through the insurer themselves (underwriter).
I still think it will be worth a phone call to the FOS, there are some posts on the threads about many who have resubmitted, who were previously turned down.
I don't understand why you should pay out for something if there were no success, was this on a no win no fee basis? The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
