  • Don't know about the Sky card, but they only provide copies, or as they like to call them back ups for music, movies & games.

    As they quote -
All of our products are legal to purchase as long as you have the original version in your possession and that the version you purchase from us will only be used in a spare backup capacity to keep the original from being damaged.

Before this thread descends into total anarchy - I thought we should be able to respond.
The card's DO work - we would not sell them otherwise :)
In response to not being able to get them at the moment - we are experiencing difficulties with our supplier for this item which we hope will be resolved ASAP.

In regards to the 'copies' comment - we do not sell copies or support piracy in any way, shape or form.

We simply provide a service to which, if a client cannot create a legal backup copy of their legally owned purchased game - we can do this for them for a small fee.
We have checked all of the legalities of this and this is NOT illegal at all.

We DO NOT rip people off nor do we do anything illegal on the site.
If anyone wants to find out more about them - please give me a shout :)

    Many Thanks

  • So these cards are a one off payment and they apparantly give you all of skys available channels? When are these cards roughly going to be available again! If they ain't available is there any similar cards sold elsewhere. Thanks

    Hi!

Yes this is correct - a one off payment of £40 for the whole available package including Sky+ recording facility and free HD channels if you have a Sky HD box (Sky+ facility only available with Sky+ boxes also)

We hope to have the cards available again in the next two weeks.
I have checked around but there does not seem to be anything the same as this product on the net at the moment.

    Cheers

This is totally LEGAL by UK law.

I personally own a card as well.

I very much doubt that this is at all legal: firstly, cards remain the property of Sky (Subscriptions Limited) so how can XL trading be selling something that they do not own?

Secondly, a subscription is required to view the channels mentioned.

This outfit sounds highly dubious and I would steer clear.

Agreed, there is no way that this can be deemed as legal.

This is indeed LEGAL so please do not post a libellous statement on a well viewed forum on something you know clearly nothing about.
We act as an agent which is entirely acceptable within the UK.

Again, please do not talk about something you clearly know nothing about.

Again, please do not make a claim that any of our products are illegal in any way, shape or form.

Then sue me and MSE. I will go one step further: by its claim XL is selling goods which belong to a third party, which is tantamount to selling stolen goods. Anyone buying is receiving stolen goods.

I wonder why your posts are being removed, and nobody else's? Remember that Sky is a powerful organisation and if this comes to their attention they will eat you for breakfast!
