When is your booking for ?

Info I have is that everyone will get an email with "next steps". Only people with bookings arriving today and tomorrow are being sorted out straight away.

Contact you credit card company straight away. The quicker the better.#

You are only covered if it was more than £100.

Technically you could pay £1 on credit card and still get section 75 protection,as long as the total purchase is more than £100.

Hmmm, sorry not an expert but looks dodgy getting anything from the company as they appear to be not bonded. Credit card should pay out though ? !

Does your holiday documentation make reference to any financial protection at all ?

question_mark.jpgIs Xcape With Us a member of ABTA or ATOL?

ABTA and ATOL members are companies that offer travel packages or travel that contains a flight element. Xcape With Us offer accommodation only, so we are not members of those associations. Many holiday sites prominently display ABTA and/or ATOL logos across their pages in a ploy to reassure customers that they are booking 'bonded' travel. The truth is that when booking accommodation only it is likely that you are NOT covered by these associations - these associations are designed to cover 'package' or flight bookings and even then not all bookings are covered. From the ABTA website...'...There are two statutory schemes that exist to protect your money and to ensure that you’ll be brought home if your travel company goes out of business. These schemes apply to package holidays and to some flight-only arrangements.'And from the ATOL(Air Travel Organisers' Licensing) website...'Holidaymakers who book flights and accommodation with different suppliers are not covered under the ATOL Scheme.'Xcape With Us do not try to deceive our customers by offering ineffective bonding, instead we pass on the cost savings of not being members of these associations and that is one of the reasons we can offer such competitive pricing. If ABTA and ATOL are not going to protect you then what can you do? If paying by a UK Access, Visa or MasterCard Credit Card you may be protected under Section 75 of the Consumers Credit Act. This Act says that if there is a problem the credit card company may be liable to the same extent as the supplier and you could reclaim your money directly from your card company.Purchase Supplier Failure Cover; this covers not only your accommodation booking with us but also travel arrangements you make with other suppliers for the same trip including flights and transfers. Supplier Failure Cover is very competitively priced at just 4 GBP per person and can be booked at www.supplierfailurecover.com

Check your credit card statement. If this shows 'Xcapewithus', you MAY have to claim back from your credit card company. Contact the hotel - they MAY have been paid for you booking - ie you may still be able to stay there.

If it says 'another company' or 'hotel name', your booking is probably safe as the hotel will have been paid for your booking.
