  • I have been using Tescos DVD Rental service for a couple of months now.Very efficient turn around -it is possible to recieve a new film every other day(except weekends)if you want to.Tescos require you to keep a list of at least 20 titles for them to choose from.My only minor complaint - you don't often recieve the newer released titles. Is this the same with other DVD rental sites? :rudolf: :rudolf:

Yep - unless you are on your free trial and you get all the great ones - sign up and that goes out the window! We were with lovefilm, screenselect, video island and it happened with all of those. If you are with lovefilm and complain enough by email and phone they may eventually put you on the staff rate - cheaper and the new releases come out very quick!

Diarise when you need to cancel to ensure you’re not billed
I had never heard of the word "diarise" before. You learn something new every day... ;)
  • I’m not sure if this is worth a mention or not, but there was an online DVD service that Martin missed.

http://dvd.easycinema.com from the Easy Group. When you go to the site there is the option to sign up to the DVD service, which is pay as you go!

The credits that you buy do expire after 90 days, but if you don’t give them a direct debit order, and only purchase the amount of credits that you intend to use, you can effectively purchase only what you intend to use there and then!

I hope I explained that properly hehe.

    Happy MoneySaving!! :money: :money:

PS. Fantastic new series Martin! :j

I'm giving the Blockbuster trial a go after reading Martin's excellent article. I'll let you know how I like it. I'm probably gonna go the 'tart' route though, and keep up the free trials for a few months. ;)

Edit: I went via Quidco to take advantage of the free trial and instead of the £10 cashback I was expecting, I have recieved £12.50 :j That's not to be sniffed at, even if Blockbuster is rubbish I'll have made some nice free money. :snow_laug

After completing my Blockbuster list last night, my top 3 are 'processing' so hopefully I'll receive them in a day or 2.

Please beware if you use this company. I cancelled their service some weeks ago, in accordance with their cancellation instructions, yet they continue to take payments rom my bank account. They do not answer e-mails and their telephone number has an answer-machine which lets you leave a message but nobody returns your call. I am currently trying to recoup my losses but would hate anybody elase to be taken in. You do so at your peril!
