I read on MSE main page that Tesco DVD rental gives 500 clubcard points - do I have to enter a code for this as when I try to buy a gift rental there's no mention of 500 points - or has this now ended?0

For all you DVD Tarts out there ...
I just had a promotional email from PIPEX, my ISP. They are promoting Screen Select and have given out a promotion code ....
 PIPWEB8
Enter this in the 'code' area when you sign up and it gives you an 8 DVD trial instead of the standard 5. The free trial period is 21 days. I don't see why this code cant be used by anyone?
You then select a 1, 2 or 3 DVD trial. However !!!! It states that you will be charged when the 9th DVD is sent out. I was tempted to go for the 3 DVD deal but the 3rd post-out would then charge me. Instead I opted for the 2 DVD deal and hope that I can get 4 post-outs in the 21 days. After I've reveived the 4th post-out I clear my wish-list so they don't send me any more.
Does this seem sensible? or does anyone have any alternative advice?
 Cheers ..... Matt0

Just signed up to Tesco using one of the gifts I set up for myseld when you could get all the clubcard points. Service seems poor. After 2 business days they have not sent anything. Old service through WHSmith was much quicker and I have been with them over a year. Anyone else have problems? Have emailed to complain already - have this for 3 months maybe it was a bad purchase.0

Go into local blockbusters store and you can buy a voucher for £4.99 which entitles you to 12 rentals online, with 6 weeks to use it. However, you have to be a new online user, join up and use the voucher at that time. Just don't forget to cancel after the 6 weeks are up.

 Got an email this weekend.
Register for screenselect free trial, enter the code dvd20, and simply sign up for the cheapest option. Select 20 titles for your list to start your account off.
A couple of days later, when the first DVD was shipped out, an email came through with my £20 voucher for https://www.DVD.co.uk - I've just done that and got myself a boxset at half-price with my voucher! Sweet!
Once you get the voucher, delete your rental account from screenselect, send any DVDs back, and you're all done. Make sure you get a certficate of Postage to cover your back.
Hasten to add this offer is limited to one voucher per household, and all within the rules - sign up and quit when you like, you still get the voucher, so it says.
 Enjoy!0

Ok here's my tips on Sainsbury DVD Rental.
When signing up use the following promotional codes:
SANS72 - This is for a whopping 42day trial on the 2 disc unlimited plan.
SANS87 - If you'd rather have the nectar points this gets you 500 of them and a 30day trial on the two disc plan.
Both codes are working right now, but not sure for how long. A 42 day trial is pretty unusual for an online DVD rental company.

I've just switched from Tesco to Sainsbury. Tesco weren't to bad for £7.97. I used to get 2 discs a week out of them on the 1 disc plan.
Only problem I had was getting the top priorty discs out of them. So far I haven't had that problem with Sainsbury's.My farts hospitalize small children 0 0
