If anyone is thinking of getting Sky HD at the mo – they are offering a great deal to existing customers (which makes a change :j)
£75 plus £30 installation – if you agree to subscribe to either movies or sports (or both) for 12 months. which is half the point of hd anyway imo.
Just call 08442 414141 – then opt 5 / 3 and I think 3 again (or might be 4…) - not sure of the landline num - should be on Saynoto0870 - but i'm at work so its on their dime anyway;)
If you ask them directly they should agree to it straight away – may be on hold for a while though!:money:
I just spoke to a very helpful guy called Colin who signed me up straight away and getting it installed Saturday!

Holding for them now. Anything special I need to tell them other than what you put above?0

That's a great deal. I thought I did well to get HD installed (today) for £75 plus £60 install. A warning to those like me that have an old HD LCD TV without HDMI, the new HD+ boxes do not support component video. Fortunately, they had a recon box on board with component out. By the way, for those not sure about the additional cost of HD, quality is awesome compared to SD.0

Nope - just ask them directlly - worked for me.
Say it with a smile - always works :beer:0 -
If you subscribe to Sports or movies do you still need to pay the £10 p/month extra for the HD0
-
yeah, the £10 extra for hd is always there. doesn't matter what packages you get.0

gotta agree, the quality of hd is great, altho there arnt many channels at the mo. footie in hd is fab tho0

no luck on the 30 quid installation and i need to either take multiroom or broadband. I already have the full package for tv and sky talk. I cancelled my broadband as I have faster speeds with ukonline. In any event she will do the deal for me for 135 quid. So not too bad. Thanks for the info.0

I'm sure eventually the £10 a month will go the same way as the £10 a month you used to have to pay for sky+and be cancelled
Just a matter of when not if i reckon.
Does seem a bit of a liberty but I need to watch hd footie next season - i'm surprised i managed to hang on for as long as i did without buying HD when it was more expensive. Its very hard being a moneysaver at the same time as being a gadget fiend! That Suzi Perry has a lot to answer for!;)0 -
i just called them and was offered SKY HD+ total of £75+30 with a culture mix package(our choice) for only £17 per month -no extra cost for HD.
I am still thinking0 -
not getting anything just standard £150 - are you going through to cancellations?0
