Is it possible you can get onto ING regarding refund of the CHAPS transfer charges and lost interest. Would be helpful for everyone to know how ING intend on sorting these issues. They have promised updates on their website regarding the charges and loss of interest but nothing has come to light yet!
Thanks
And chase all outstanding payments like mine and others.
I'll be closing my new ING account as soon as all of my money has been accounted for and unless I'm paid interest and refunded my CHAPS fee I'll be making a formal complaint.0 -
Oh well, same day CHAPS still not working - tried to withdraw the rest of the money today and they haven't arrived in linked account yet. Will see how long is that going to take!!!!
My, you're a very brave sole!!! I still have a little left in my ex KE account but whilst it's showing in my account, and I would love to get my hands on it, I dare not.
I'm still here, routing for all you guys to be reunited with your savings. Don't forget that it's lots more positive for you all now than it was this morning.
Having read over 5000 posts on the original thread and already rapidly approaching 1000 on this one, I'm not giving up until all are satisfied!
I have had a number of restless nights and have woken up every morning with this debacle on my mind. For all those still waiting, I hope tonight will be your last restless one.0 -
I am still waiting for CHAPS transfer initiated on the 7th and nothing received0

This ING spokesperson has bottled it, having pulled the wool over MSE Dan's eyes. Too fearful to face the wrath of those of us still waiting. Are you still reading, as alleged, ING?CHAPS out 8 Oct KE - received 20 Oct A+L
Still here for moral support.0 -
Not trying to be argumentative here but.... is this the right topic to be asking about lost interest/CHAPS refunds ? There are still those of us waiting for our money. Just a thought...

Reading the email it sounds to me like my transfer is now in the hands of the administrators.
I would like to do a count of how many have received this email, how much they requested, by which method and on which date. If you could pm me then I will post back to give an idea of the numbers involved.
I do think this is a separate issue from those awaiting CHAPS payments as none of those people seem to have received this email. I think relates to those payments instructed from around 11th October.

Over the past week ING Direct has been working with the Administrators of Kaupthing Edge to clear a backlog of payment instructions that were not able to be completed when Kaupthing Edge encountered difficulties.
While we have now processed over 95% of these payments, I am sorry to inform you that we are still working on a number of manual payment instructions, including the withdrawal request that you have made.
I do understand that the continuing delay is frustrating and I wanted to reassure you that my team is working with the Administrators to resolve the outstanding payment issues.
I appreciate your continued patience and I will contact you again shortly to confirm when the payments will be made.

In Martin’s 2pm update today he said it sounded if we were urgently trying to ensure the remaining Kaupthing Edge payments were made. He was right and I am pleased to confirm that all outstanding payments will leave the bank by Thursday 23 October and start arriving in destination accounts on Friday 24 October.
We do follow the very influential moneysavingexpert.com threads and obviously recent ones have not made pleasant reading although it has been good to see reports of so many payments being received. We are pleased that we have now managed to resolve the administration issues we encountered with Kaupthing Edge and can now provide customers with what they want – certainty about when the final payments will leave the bank.
Below is the note we have just posted on the Kaupthing Edge website:
Kaupthing Edge outstanding payment issue resolved
We have been working hard to clear the backlog of payments and the vast majority of these have now been made. However, there are a small number of payments which we have been unable to process so far due to administrative issues within Kaupthing Edge.
Kaupthing Edge in the UK is being run by Administrators and we have now received their confirmation that all outstanding payments will be released by Thursday 23 October and we would expect these to start arriving in the destination bank account on Friday 24 October.
ING Direct and the Administrators would like to apologise once again for the delay in resolving this issue.
Your money is safe and secure and our priority remains to restore normal service to all customers.

I don't want to clog up the thread now i've got my money, but I just wanted to say a big and heartfelt thank you to everyone here.
Unfortunately, it looks as though Jan de Wit has stuck his finger back in the dyke tonight, but I really hope that those still waiting get their money soon. A few hours ago we really thought no one even knew that we existed, so at least we know now that we were wrong about that. They are paying up dispite all our worst fears, so just hang on in there.
Like many others, I will be checking in to see what's happening over the next few days and I am fervently wishing that all the remaining missing money will plonk into your accounts.
Good luck to everyone.CHAPS 8/10 received Halifax 20/10
BACS 18/11 (£30) (actioned 19/11) received CHAPS Halifax 21/11
BACS 24/11 (£50) (actioned 25/11) received Halifax 28/11

In the voice of Harry Hill:
What's better? Collecting Capital or collecting CHAPS and interest? Only one way to find out.......fiiiiiiiiiiiiight!!!!!!
Seriously, in the grand scheme of things interest and CHAPS are minor issues in my opinion.0 -
