Madasafish provide a wireless router option for £25, but I already have a Linksys 54g wireless router (no modem) which I've used happily for a few years connected to an NTL cable modem. Does anyone know if the freebie no-wireless Voyager 210 USB modem which they also provide has an ethernet port for connecting to the Linksys - i.e. is it ONLY USB?0

The Madasafish Voyager 210 Router does have an ethernet port as well as a USB, using one at the moment.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like it will be fine then. (Hope it doesn't go off after three days...)0

Like other Euro1net customers, I've been without BB since the recent dispute. OFCOM seem to think that users will be able to migrate to a "provider of your choice" from 5/9/06.
Will I need a MAC code for this? How long is the process likely to take?
Many thanks,
HarshanSnootchie Bootchies!0 -
Hi Harshanl,
If you're able to get a MAC, then that is the easiest way to change service providers as it minimises the time that you're without the broadband service.
However, I'm under the impression that Euro1net may not be able to provide MACs.
Without a MAC, we can accept your order at any time, however we cannot start the provisioning process until your line is cleared of markers. From the time that your line comes back as clear, it will take us up to 7 working days to install our broadband. From the time that you place your order, we check the line nightly to see if it's cleared.
Please do keep in touch should you require any further information.
Kind regards,

Dear Samara,
How do I find out if my line is clear of markers?
Thanks,

Just a quick word of warning..yes yes I read the article on Madasafish Broadband too..and what a great price!! Well..sort of..
Be aware that the support calls, should you ever need it, can last upto an hour! And thats 30minuites on hold waiting to be answered! At 9pm at night!!! Be warned...0 -
As a Freenetname (now Madasafish) customer since 1999, I have had to use the support line on only a couple of occasions.
With 15+ years of IT experience under my belt, I can resolve most issues myself, but on the few times that I have called the support line, I have found the Rep to be very good.
The calls always seem to be answered within a few rings (Maybe I am just lucky with this).
Also, If the helpline cannot resolve any issues - just ask Samara on this forum.0 -
Hi Harshanl,
There aren't any tools available to the consumer to find out if there are markers left on your line. There are some other things you can check - I'll PM you with the info.
Kind regards,

I am having problems using VPN over the BT Voyager 210 modem supplied with MAAF. A search in google shows many are having problem with BT voyager 210 when using VPN. Does any know how to use VPN with BT Voyager 210. I tried reducing MTU size, IP forwarding etc . But no luck..
Thanks0
