Default Cheltenham & Glos Exit Fee number

The number listed for C&G takes you to S!!!!horpe Mortgages.
Instead I've just used the normal C&G mortgages number 0800 028 0639, and they were very helpful - sending me a cheque for £151!

Thanks....

The Nottingham Building Society Release Fee was £50 in Feb 2001 and £55 in their Feb 2002 Mortgage Fees and Charges leaflet.
We were charged £175 in October 2006.

Exit fee 5 years ago was £ 100.
Had a letter + cheque for £ 99 in the post from them today.

Please note they also try to charge £ 25 for every further redemption statement after the first one. I challenged them on that and they refunded that as well, albeit with a miffed letter.

This one seems to have been completely overlooked so far. I had a mortgage with them upto 2002. They have since renamed / rebranded themselves as "Mortgage Trust" and these days no longer do homeowner mortgages but only specialist buy-to-let mortgages.

This not being quite straightforward, it took me a bit of effort and the help of the Mortgage Lenders Council's website to dig up all this info, but they promptly paid up to the tune of £ 50.

My mortgage was transferred over to the Woolwich, from the Halifax, late in February and Halifax charged us £175.00, for a "repayment Administration Fee". We originally had a ten year fixed rate mortgage with them, that started in December 1993. Although we changed to a variable rate, from May 2001, would the admin fee repayment possible be that which was in the 1993 contract, or the 2001 contract (even though the latter was treated as a deed of variation, rather than a remortgage)?
£175.00 must be the current fee, not the one entered on the table.

The exit fee at the Portman BS was £55.00 in November 1998 and was still that amount when my mortgage went through in May 1999. (I've got the original documentation).

One that is missing is Britannic Money - who are now called Mortgage Trust

Their details are -

Mortgage Trust Limited
PO Box 11841
B91
9EZ

www.mortgagetrust.co.uk

0121 712 2221

I wrote to them in early Feb and despite a reply saying I would get a further response in 14 days I have heard nothing.

icecoolbabe -

Definitely worth chasing: I had almost instant success with them - see my earlier post. No prevarications, no 14 days, just a cheque in the mail.
Good luck!

Dont bother phoning them as they will not deal with it on the phone. You have to write to them FAO Customer Care Team.

Default Abbey National

I redeemed my mortgage with Abbey National after approx 3.5 years.
I was charged a "Repayment fee" of £225.
I rang them today (0845 600 0346) and they advised me they would have to send a form to me for completion, on receipt of this completed form they would review my claim.
Here's hoping!

March 07 - mortgage outstanding £42,364

Overpayments of £58.27 each month & additional funds from my Neopigmy! (Moneypig!!)

No credit cards outstanding

No store cards outstanding
