If this is true it's appalling. I'd go ape sh** if this happened to me and I know I'm trying to play the system. People will I have little doubt be trying to use these as they may think they are legit. Talk about over reaction.

Does this mean that you can use the Somerfield vouchers against anything in store at Tescos as long as you're scanning them? I'm lost. I thought you can only use vouchers against the products that they're for.

hi, i have got most of my christmas shopping using these and the uniball ones at tesco, the self scan till does call for acceptance but i havnt had any problems. i get about 5.50 to 6.00 pounds worth and only pay the odd. i did buy two boxes of roses 2 for 5.00 pounds and it didnt call for anyone, so two boxes of roses, one somerfield voucher = nothing to pay and no one called. very happy.

Are there two different Somerfield mags out at the moment? I picked up one today and it has £12 of vouchers (2 x £5 and 2 x £1) but no Fosters twist voucher. My mag doesn't say December is says "Christmas Special" and has a pink cover with a little girl on the front holding a star. That was the only one I saw in my local store.

Tesco's in Roborough, Plymouth accepted all these vouchers with no questions asked, on the self scan tills they had to be authorised but I had already slipped them into the machine so they just okayed them.

Extra Christmas presents, thanks to Tesco, small items small prices, not much outlay.

Yes, there is also a December issue. This is the one with £30+ worth of money off vouchers.

yes this is true. there is a woman who used forty pounds worth of somerfield vouchers and she always goes to the young ones. so all staff been told to hit security button for somerfield vouchers, i wouldnt be very happy if that happened to me.
