We got an offer. Yikes. Only our fourth viewer, and its still a little bit low (Asking price - 8%, then -5.5%, and tomorrow is another day) Trouble is, the house we liked has sold and there's nowhere else within our price range that I even really want to look at. I don't know what to do now...should I start thinking about renting? Or would I be stupid to get off the property ladder right now - even for 12 months? Aaargh...all this time you wait for this to happen, and now its happened, I've lost my nerve.

we havent sold yet, but the house we want to buy has given up and been removed from the market. so our 'invisible' chain has fallen through and our ideal house is even further out of reach. but we've discussed it and [STRIKE]if[/STRIKE] when we sell, we will just buy something with an extra bedroom and a garden. that will be be better than staying put for us, and our type of house seems harder to sell than the slightly larger ones so if we get a bite we will take it! good luck.

oh, and we've sacked the useless EA and are taking on a different one. he said he has people just waiting to view!! we'll see.

Waiting to hear on my second viewing. She was only here about 10 minutes and concentrated on the garden. So its either good news in that she's made her mind up and doesn't need to stay long or bad news that the garden wasn't right so no point in looking round the house again!

No viewings after 6 weeks. So had the boss lady from the EA round yesterday. She re-took the pictures & rehashed the write-up. I must say it looks a lot better now on their web site.

If we still don't attract any viewings I'll give up.
