LOL MFD -- you know me, always listening too much to what i am 'told' as opposed to trusting myself.

it is on the formula boxes but i could never understand how they could tell you what was right or wrong becuase if you are breastfeeding you can't measure it.

Maybe that is why I don't care...because when we were exclusively BF then I never knew and just had to trust him to take as much as he wanted.

Sometimes he drinks all his bottle with the CM, others he doesn't, I don't care!

I was just about to say do you need to pee on a stick! But MFD beat me to it (again!).

Great minds think alike ;) mine is just faster than yours :rotfl:

OH hasn't married his ex's twin has he! :rotfl::rotfl: You could go on Jeremy Kyle! :rotfl:

Well I would have said we were nothing alike...until yesterday!!
We had a good old gossip last night and a bit of a giggle, it shouldn't be a surprise that she is nice, hubby does have excellent taste...although it got even better as he matured ;)

My little pudding usually has 28oz a day! Best look at booking fat camp for next summer. ;)

Yay - V and Benjamin will have fun together :T

    And Yay for comfy boobies!

I need to go bra shopping desperately but I can't see the point until I finish BF. I am guessing that my boobs will change then?

Don't know how he thinks we can afford a flippin' car though. Ignoring the initial outlay for a car, what's the costs per year?

Basing it on a crappy 1.2 litre or something.

Road tax, Insurance and ermmmm M.O.T, is that every year costs? NOt forgetting the petrol. But then he'd be able to do overtime if he had a car, so it would pay for the petrol at least.

    Meh.......

buttons we allow £500 a year for our 1.0 litre, and we use approx £30 of fuel per month. Hope that helps xxx

GRrrr I'm reading the money for wedding presents thread and someone's just said that their kids and them are a package and must all be invited together all the time.

It's just ridiculous - sometimes kids aren't welcome to things. Like hen parties, or stag parties, or Ann Summers parties, or quiz night at the pub. And sometimes adults aren't welcome to things, like school, or sleepovers. What sort of message does it send a kid if the parent insists they all go everywhere together all the time?

I can see how people want kids at weddings because it is a family event, but it's not the place of a guest to make that decision. And when a kids' meal costs £30 for upmarket chicken nuggets and chips I can see how a couple might not want to do that for 30+ children of their extended family, you know?

BM i dunno but my first years insurance for a 1.3 Escort was £59 pm + £120 deposit, was cheapest on Confused. Then for 2nd year i got new quotes and cheapest was Auto direct for £35 a month +£70 deposit so quite a drop i thought, but i had a Saxo then even tho it was same ins group as the Escort apparently. I thought the Saxo would be higher seeing as they're chav boy racer cars :rotfl:

sparkle i have wondered about the machine cos some of my cheapo Primark stuff has tiny holes in. My mam asked me if i'd been smoking joints and dropping hot rocks on myself :rotfl: I hadn't - hate the stuff _pale_ But then i realised it was only the Primark stuff doing it so must just be the cheapness.
  • Sorry, posted once then nap time came quicker than I thought. Going to try and put her down again in a mo though - very tired and grumpy baby and won;t let me do anything. Wih any luck a bit more sleep will do the trick (plus I can finish making/eating my lunch and get a few other bits done while she sleeps... this is the plan).

    Morning all,
Ladybird you made me do a MFD and snort coffee, Lexi hates the hoover and the thought of hoovering her feet with the dyson had me in stitches with images of her being sucked up it that flippin powerful.

Heh. My hoover is rubbish, so no chance of that :rotfl:.

Glam, what a scary dream. :( I hope you have recovered now.

MFD/Emlou/Redmel/and other yummy mummies who are back at work .... do you feed your LO's when you get in or does your childminder/nursery feed them??? i have been feeding LO when i get in but it does seem late and i rush around trying to get that done am not spendiing as much time with her. just wondering what everyone else was doing. i am not organised enough yet to have a dinner in advance prepared (although i did have half of one done tonight) but need to do so.

that or the slow cooker i need to use more

    xx

AF, my childminder feeds Alex. He then only needs an evening feed from me, i then either just give him milk and sometimes some porridge. I'm threfore finding it very hard to gauge how much he is eating and how much food i should be sending for him. Its a nightmare a the minute, yet another guilty mummy moment, as i can't wean him all by myself.

My milk has finished I think as was trying to feed LO last night and nothing much coming out so we are now officially 100% FF me thinks..... cant remember but what do others do for night feeds with formula - do you use the cartons?

Right Dentist today for me and food shopping to get it out of the way...
hope the dentist isn't something bad! You sound nice and positive :) I used to make my bottles for the next day up before bed then stick them in the fridge and microwave them as needed - this is not how 'they' say you should but I'd be doing this for Ed if he was on formula :)
    :hello: Morning everyone!
    ...
No plans for today other than to blitz the whole house and get all the washing done. The in-laws are coming tomorrow for the whole bloody day, 10-6. I couldn't stand the thought of being in with them all day, so I've booked a hair apt for 2:45 so I can escape and they can have some quality time with Henry and DH. I cannot wait as my hair is so messy at the moment. I last had it cut 6 weeks before Henry's EDD, so 17 weeks ago  <- that is my hair atm.

Becles- are you a bit worried Charlotte might blow your cover on the covert audit?!
I've not been to a hairdresser for over a year :o:eek: I sereiously look like a tramp

    Bruno - so cute!!

Sainsbury's 3rd off has ended me thinks (I certainly didn't get it yesterday)

Krystal - I noticed a few organix things say 12mth+ but are fine nothing in them 'bad' so I think its coz 'they' say babies can only manage soft food

    Sparkle - cute new avvy!

MFD, I agree on milk ammounts but I took it to mean that the HV was meaning DKAM should offer more food *shrugs*

:jMy HV is back at work (she had been off having a new hip, even though she's only young at about 50) she's coming to do Ed's 6mth check 2 days before he's 8mths :rotfl:can you tell she's busy? I really like her and can't wait for her to meet Ed (is that sad?)

OH just called his flights for abu dabi are booked so Glam I can do something on 12th feb, what was it, a sling meet?
