I'm only dressed cos i have to take DS to school. If i'm not going out i don't get dressed, saves muckying my v.limited selection of clothing that actually fits/doesn't have holes in.

Im not dressed and neither is Keira and I have to leave the house in 25minutes :D

This is why I'm late everyday for nursery!

Me and OH have totally spent loads of money this month, about died when I just logged into the banking! Though, £90 of it I'm taking back off the money his mum gives him because if he'd bothered to go see her, it wouldn't of had to come out the bank for his driving lessons. WHAT A RIP OFF PRICE THEY ARE ANYWAYS!!!

On the upside, his instructor said he should book his test within in the next 2 weeks, he's only had about 7/8 lessons so far. Already passed his theory.

Don't know how he thinks we can afford a flippin' car though. Ignoring the initial outlay for a car, what's the costs per year?

Basing it on a crappy 1.2 litre or something.

Road tax, Insurance and ermmmm M.O.T, is that every year costs? NOt forgetting the petrol. But then he'd be able to do overtime if he had a car, so it would pay for the petrol at least.

    Meh.......

    BM i've got a crappy 1.2 and i pay £68 tax every 6 months i think.

My MOT - well i want to get £200-£300 saved up for it cos it's a P reg, tho it passed first time in Dec :T
I only paid £250 for the car itself lol. Insurance for me 3rd party F+T (licence for 1 year at time of quote, 24 yrs old) is £35 a month. Put about £10 a week petrol in and i only really do the school run - filled up yesterday and noticed it's 109p a litre

So if i save £200 for MOT i reckon it costs me about £25 a week to run my car. Based on no longer journeys though.

    Morning everyone:)

Took Kai to the doctors he has an ear infection:( When I took him last time she said his ears were inflamed and red, but said it could have been caused (made worse) by the tonsilitis so wanted to concentrate on clearing that up first.....He is now on a different course of anti-biotics for the ear infection.

yay 3 on the comfy bra:D I know exactly how you feel. We were in TK Maxx and I tried loads on and now have a nice comfy one, although I am still unsure if I should have gone a(nother) size bigger!!!

Cos i'm a scruffy minger and Primark clothes are crap :rotfl:

I also hate hate hate (with a PASSION) clothes shopping. So even when i could spare the cash to buy myself clothes, i tend to make do with what i've got rather than shop lol.

I usually walk into a clothes shop, look around for 2 seconds before realising i could spend 5 hours in there and be none the wiser, so save the effort. I just feel like nothing ever suits me, and if i try anything on i look about 25 stone in the changing room mirrors.

That's great to know BC :) his petrol will be a lot higher no doubt as he'd have to use it to work and back, but It means we could go out on days out that we normally wouldn't because the buses are crap or whatever!

Will his insurance be sky high because he is a new driver? I remember my friends were 1k a year or something! He is 27, so not like he is 18!

On the saving point I guess is that loads of guys at his work fix up cars for their hobby and can do most things so if anything went wrong they would sort it for el cheap, and then when it went in for it's proper M.O.T, it would pass because nowt was wrong.....

And ARGH he just texted me saying he can't get 3 days off in Feb that he was gonna take as Keira's nursery is off then. He's on a course for 2 weeks. Baaaaaah.

Mind you his company are pretty decent on the course front he's got loads of stuff now through them, forklift license, some offshore thingy where you direct cranes or something....soldjering aswell? God knows! But they keep the certificates and I guess if he leaves on good terms they will give him them, but if he don't then he doesn't get em hahahaha.

    Im still not dressed

I bought a gorgeous cardigan (not a jazzy one lol) it was £55 and I dont like spending alot on my clothes and first time after washing it, it came out with a massive hole in I was less than impressed
