Hi everone i am due to start my 5 weeks training on 30th nov, can anyone tell me if they think there is any possibility that i will get paid on xmas eve? Or is it more likely to be after xmas?
Thanks in advance.
You will not get paid on Christmas Eve, payday is on last working day of the month and therefore for December this will be Thursday 31st December.
You may get one days pay for the 30/11 at some time in December though.

Congratulations to everyone who has recently got the call. Just a quick question for those who are starting soon, how long from success letter to call were you waiting?
HI THANKS FOR THE CONGRATS, I HAD MY INTERVIEW AT THE END OF JULY AND RECIEVED MY SUCESS LETTER ON 6TH AUGUST, THEN HAD A LONG WAIT FOR 'THE CALL'.
THEY RANG ME AROUND THE 10TH NOV, SO HAD BEEN WAITING JUST OVER THREE MONTHS. THIS IS PROBABLY DUE TO THE FREEZE THEY PUT ON RECRUITMENT THOUGH, IT HAS NOW BEEN LIFTED SO HOPEFULLY YOU WONT NEED TO WAIT THAT LONG.
ALL THE BEST FOR THE FUTURE AND I HOPE YOU HEAR FROM THEM SOON.

hi thanks for yor reply, even if its not what i wanted to hear, was really hoping for some pay before xmas, oh well, suppose i should just be grateful of a start really.
Thanks again.
@Sammy, would anything happen if I left it as it is
If you don't get this altered you will be paid as a part timer i.e. the 35.6 hours you have told them is your working pattern.
You need to complete a DWP LCWP1 ( retrospective change of working pattern) backdated to your starting date and attach it as a service request in RM.
Any line manager should be able to help you with this.
