  • 10th September was the date of the competency interviews, I think - there were the exams a week or two prior to that.

When I got the success letter, I must admit that I've been so ground down by rejections and failed applications that I couldn't even get very excited about it and kept on wondering how I might yet somehow get rejected - and thank God for that, because this would be even more agonising if I had been more optimistic :p
my interview was 1st july and i got call yesterday so dont give up.

    Shame:cry:
  • Resourcing called me back.
The Team Leader has double checked, and they are certain the recruitment freeze has not lifted, generally speaking.
There are some areas where applicants are been posted (not regional areas as a whole) but jobcentres and bdc's dotted around the country where they are in urgent need for staff.
They have said I am 10th on the merit list and in total there are 52 candidates are on my IRC list for Hyde, Manchester.
So... i think it is a case of waiting now. Hopefully by the end of October there will be some movement.
  • :jthis is me currently jumping around like an idiot as I just received "the call"

I have just come out of hospital checked my voicemail and there it was - call this number for your start date!!!! woo hoo am I still dizzy from the anesthetic????? or is this actually real????

I called them back and sure enough, I start my EO role 61099 (Merseyside) in the Wallasey job centre on 19th October.

Time line goes a little like this -
    applied 26th June
    tested and interviewed 24th July
sucessful letter August 8th (dated 4th)
    CRB 11th August
    THE CALL 30th September!!!!!
    Start date 19th October

There is light at the end of this dark tunnel, and I have wanted to do this for sooooooo looonnnng. I hope you all see this as a step in the right direction and it helps to make you feel a little better.

    Good luck everyone  cheers

I'd love a beer to celebrate - but they don't mix with the pain killer the hospital gave me
