!!!!!! thanked you again.....you my dear are the troll and i have been warned not to feed you.

argue all you like but you will never get your own way on your one man crusade to line all us smokers up and have us shot.

for all the vile repulsive things we do which is smkoking in your general direction we find you 100 times more repulsive in your god-like stance of the anti-smoker.

    live and let live.

    ever heard that?

i bet youre one of these sad !!!!s who if your neighbours smoke, writes to the council complaining you can smell their smoke.

until it is against the law we will do this when and where we want just as you are free to roam where you want when you want.

free will. free country as long as live within the law.

so dont come all high and mighty and try and bewilder us with stats and crap.

no one made you god and unless you can proove otherwise then !!!!!!.

    you are boring me.
There's someone in my head, but it's not me
  • Hold on. So...if people smoke in pubs, restaurants etc non-smokers, kids, ill people, pregnant women etc all are forced to breath in the smoke.

If its banned in all public places indoors, we are actually able to go for a meal, take our kids places and not be at risk of the harms of smoking....

and apparently thats unfair to the smokers?

YOU CHOSE TO BE ADDICTED TO SOMETHING HARMFUL TO OTHERS! SO WHY CAUSE HARM TO OTHERS?!

If it was banned in public streets, any indoor public places etc then smokers would be forced to smoke where they can only harm themselves and people who choose to be at risk, by entering there home. This is fair enough IMO.

If smokers had the ability to read signs that say NO SMOKING WITHIN 20 FEET OF THIS BUILDING then we probably wouldnt be moaning about this so much.

What you do in your own home is upto you, I dont care - but dont ruin an area u have to share with other people, its total inconsideration to expect people to walk through your dirty habit. You would get arrested for forcing strangers to take coke, so why isnt it a crime to blow smoke in peoples faces?

Normal people are being punished here, because even tho they can go to restaurants - they cant get in or out without facing the same disgusting cloud of stench - and thats just unfair. We are the ones strong enough not to have an addiction!!

And dont start all the 'but drugs cause this many deaths a year blah blah' its totally off subject and no relevance at all. This is a debate about the worlds issues, its about smoking and thats that.

so to all the smokers!! if your gonna smoke, do it away from doorways! preferably in a smoking shelter, dont smoke near a path that would force people to have to walk through the smoke to get somewhere or else making there life difficult, try and give up your habit, dont smoke near kids, pregnant woman, elderly people, sick people, normal people, psycho people.....just pollute yourselves please :D OH!! and dont just chuck your infested fag butts on the ground, its littering and its minging

    ta x
Yes im disabled....yes I can do things you cant....but you can do things I cant so were equal! :D

and how do you know this if youve never tried one oh doctor of all that is good?
    Known fact.

if youre naturally nocturnal then why dont you stay inside your home during the day and leave the rest of us to do what the !!!! we like when we like and do what you want in the !!!!ing dark.
Because most of what I do in life isn't available at night. Common sense. And the counter is I should be allowed "to do what the !!!! like when like [any time]".

OK, my usual every-day argument that I don't think I've actually stated here.

If I were to walk up to you, as someone that I have never met and just punch you in the nose without provocation, you'd probably not be too happy. You'd probably feel that you'd been harmed and may want me arrested and charged for assault. Reasonable in a civilised society?

"Smoking harms you and others around you". So, someone smoking near me is harming me. That's FACT. So I believe that that person should be arrested and charged with the appropriate crime.

It's simple logic. I'm often accused of being extreme in my view, but all I'm actually doing is being logical. I have friends far more extreme than I who who actually do believe that smokers should all be shot (I'm not exagerating).

Yes, absolutely. In all seriousness, I would like smoking banned in all public places and around children and vulnerable adults. Let smokers smoke. Just let non-smokers be smoke-free.

It's not too much to ask, surely?

vulnerable adults now as well :rotfl:

you just want to have you own way. were you used to this as a child? an only child perhaps?

spoilt rotten and always stamp your little feet until you get you own way.

    YOU WONT.

us smokers have been pushed outside in the cold and rain. sometimes even the sun which we can enjoy without you whingy gits there to moan about it because youre scared of a little bit of fag smoke coming you way despite the cars, the busses, lorries, industrial chimneys, etc polluting the atmosphere. probably even down to your deoderant unless of course you prefer to smell.

the day the government try and put a total ban on smoking in public is the day the revolution begins. yet we all know this wont happen because of the taxes.

i begrudge the taxes on fags but i smoke them because i want to and no one moan from whiny little sods will stop me.

i might choose to give up tomorrow, i might choose to give up next year or maybe in 10 years time or maybe not at all.

no one is and does not have the right to tell me how to live my life.

have you always been squeaky clean the non smokmers here? ever dabb;led in drugs? been drinkers? get !!!!ed at weekends?

    do we judge you? no.

    so dont judge us.

    LIVE AND LET LIVE

or is it too hard a thing to do from your ivory towers?
There's someone in my head, but it's not me

Not exactly freewill if we cant go anywhere without being forced to smoke is it? we have no rights to force a smoker to not polute our lungs. Someone can walk right upto you and blow smoke into your face, and you have NO RIGHTS.

free world for the addicted, yeah that seems fair love LOL

have consideration, and smoke in your own home, in smoking shelters and away from people choosing a healthy lifestyle - then there is no issue here.

Consideration should be the worlds only rule

people smoke of their own free will compare that to your barbeques
Majorly flawed arguement for obvious reasons.

and i find you repulsive and unwelcome
I'm sure you do, but that's probably because you blatantly arn't able to formulate rational arguments. Would you like me more if I just resorted to pointless insults?

    Anthillmob wrote: »

I won't. This is what internet forums are for :D

Nah, I've never believed in that.

What I'd like is for the "last word" to be some sort of conclusion to the opening statement. That would be my ideal. We're going to disagree. That's fine. But let's find some semblence of adult-like accord.

    that's because it's illegal. true

there is no crime to charge so not illegal. just your personal wish.

that's because they are probably ar**holes, sorry but they are. get some new friends. reasonable people. the main logic here is that you want things your way irrespective of what others want.

the outside world in general?! by the way what makes children and vulnerable adults more important than anyone else? we're all somebodies kids, apart from yer line em up and shoot em friends. they're oddballs.

It's not too much to ask, surely?
    yep too much>

dunno about that, a doc friend told me that a couple of fags a day does no harm whilst pregnant, they just don't like to say so

First, I should have said this before: great handle. I read Eagle in the generation where we got the "new" Dan Dare and also the reprised original version.

Back to point: I would seriously question the information that that Dr gave you. Every cigarrete is reducing available oxygen to little Dare.
