I've tried soaking in hot water with vinegar added, but only a slight improvement. They still look decidedly manky
Can anyone suggest anything?
Thanks

I know that bleach isn't enviromentaly friendly but I use a dilute mixture to clean my cups. I rest the teaspoons in the mixture too to make them clean and shiny again.Just run, run and keep on running!0

I was moaning about this to someone who sells crockery on a market stall.
His tip was to put a drop of washing up liquid with a bit of bleach in the cup or mug, then fill it with boiling water and leave for a few hours.
You have to rinse it like mad or you will froth at the mouth but it works brilliantly!
Do not forget to let anyone else in the house know not to touch the stuff as I only just caught my husband in time to prevent him trying to drink it!!!

I leave a mixture of bicarb of soda & water in the cups overnight. It usually does the trick.0

When the solution is left for a while the foam disappears so hubbie is not as silly as it looks ( this is however someone who forgot to put teabags in the teapot once and drank a full pint of "tea" before he noticed)"This site is addictive!"
