A hundred people on the Christmas card list? Surely though people will understand if they don't get many cards as I don't think one person can be expected to send to everyone iykwim.

Well I've put the dishwasher on 3 times today! Just about to unload it ready to load again after tea. I've just cut up the ham and got the pasta out for tea as I need to weigh it first to get my points. Also on my 3rd load of washing and I have at least another 10 loads I could put in  6 people get through a lot of washing!

However I haven't done much else as I've been reading lots :o I tend to get stuck into books and struggle to put them down until I've finished them. So I'm now on book 3 which hopefully I should have finished in a couple of days.

Been to M&S couldn't find anything exciting BUT got a new pair of trousers for work at 20% off and they are needed so there you go. Bad news is they are a 14! I did get down to a 10 bottom half. Slimming world here I come (back).
    But not tonight! Curry night!
Carol - Pink's advice is top... and for you and Johanne it took me OVER A YEAR to learn to drive - at 18! so don't stress. I am a very good driver IMHO now though... I took 2 tests.

    HHC 4:30 til 5 anyone?

Sorry I missed it but "WAY TO GO!"

It's amazing what you can achieve in half an hour, so well done for trying it! :T

Johanne - I only had 20 but that was in the dark ages :o and all on the North Circular, and I'd had a motorbike for 7 years (helps with judging distance, speed etc - I'm convinced, as DB, who also had a bike, took about the same and we both passed first time but sis had no bike and 5 goes!)

I'm sure someone just mentioned 100 cards!

Mass Facebook message *Gryfon is too busy doing housework therefore she'd like to say Happy Yule/Christmas/insert holiday of your choice to everyone around this time*

    Think that'll work?

I think that BSM used to recommend twice your age so at 17 you would need 34 hrs; at 25 you'd need 50hrs etc

Looks like it's changed now "The Driving Standards Agency recommend that learners should have about 40 hours of lessons and another 25 hours of practice to be ready for the test"

Hmm so by old standards id need 46hrs.. new id need 65hrs @ £20ish a lesson. yikes. Bout 4 years ago i actually did 10 hours with a proper instructor and ive done about 20 hours more recently with a family member but obviously i reckon most people will say that wont count and i'll have to start over again like i know nothing!

I'd love to start learning again but it works out at about £1300 if i need to do the 65 hours. That wipes out all my savings which were to tide me and sarah over the next year or so. :(

If i could do it in 35 lessons i think i could manage to budget for that. I planned on doing the passplus course too which is £150 extra after ive passed but heard good things about doing it.

DD has cancelled her driving lessons. She's just joined the TA and said they can teach her. Bit drastic if you ask me!:rotfl:
