Thank you so much for the tip.
I have just signed up for £19.66 - which is incredible compared to the £60 a month I paid at David Lloyd, even after the six months! It might even improve my motivation to go knowing that I've got such a bargain.0 -
Signed up on Wednesday and recived my welcome pack in the post today! Actually very impressed, 19.36 for my health cover with free Cannons gym for 6 months. I also rang PruHealth and they confirmed that you can cancel at anytime, by giving a month's notice! Excellent! Thanks to the OP.0

Hey all,
I'm interested in this offer but have a few questions that those who have signed up may be able to help with?
Is the gym membership restricted in anyway? i.e do you only get off-peak access or is it full anytime access membership?
Do you have to arrange an induction with your preferred gym and does that cost extra?
Thanks,
Jude0 -
I think from earlier posts that it is access anytime membership.
P.S.I see the closing date is 28th Feb...0 -
Do we have anything definite on whether David Lloyd are going to participate? If it is, then will hang on for that, but there is a Holmes Place fairly near me that I would go for if not. There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.0

Anyone know much about the tower bridge and moorgate holmes place branches? Tower bridge is a little close to me but reading the description makes me think moorgate has an egde in terms of size and what it has to offer.
edit: it seems barbicans close aswell, anyone know about that one?
Anyone got any insight into either of these branches?
BTW, for holmes place it says: Holmes Place memberships are based on 12 month contracts. Does that mean that theres a 12 month contract? If so is there some kind of penalty if you cancel?
Also one question, theres a lot of extra things that these gyms offer, everything from massages to hair removal - i want to know, do these cost extra?0 -
any good cashback offers for taking up the policy with them?0

I've been a member of Holmes Place for the past 2 yrs, and froze my membership for 3 months to re evaluate it's worth. Does anyone know if this offer (which works out to be cheaper with the medical cover than I've been paying!!!) is available for existing members too, or could it complicate things?
Yes it is available to existings members, but you do need to be out of your minimum contract. (Essentially you cancel and rejoin). Also it is worth pointing out than when I joined you have to sign up for a minimum of 12 months (this may not apply for the 6month contract) - that contract is between you and the gym, although the money is collected by PruHealth. You can't use Tesco Deals voucers to pay for the membership.0 -

What happens if you cancel your contract?0 -
Hello I am currently a member of holmes place and get a corporate discount and what i told them was that i only had a 6 months contract with work and therefore if it was not renewed then I could not afford to pay for my membership. They said as long as I was with them for 6 months then I could cancel after this. So try it say you might be out of a job in 6 months and you want reassurance that that you can cancel. NOTE: Make sure they note it down on your account that you may cancel in 6 months or they could get funny with you if there is no record.;)
Again any cashback offers for taking out cober with prudential will be much appreciated.0
