at 6.40 i phoned ING again. This time told that the 'cut-off' was 5 p.m. Before, they'd told me 6 p.m.! Have been given this number to ring - specifically for people with the Kaupthing Edge to ING problem - 0845 848 0282. He said that on this number they will have access to my account with Kaupthing Edge and can give more details. He said they were aware that 'a few people' had not yet got their transfers through! A few??!! Must be thousands? Thanks to all on here for the support, help and advice. Weekend would be more miserable without this forum....0

say how you sent the transfer originally - we are all waiting for an original CHAPS transfer.

I've just spoken to 'Natalie' in ING....after much putting me on hold to discuss with a supervisor, she informed me that they've been told they have expedited the CHAPS transfers as a 'same day processing payment' and that we won't see the money in our accounts until Monday. She couldn't tell me what this is....they clearly don't know what is going on. Not sure ING is going to be a safe place for my money...0

I think for now, we will have to suffer the bacs people reporting here........we need to find some one or no one whose chaps was successful. they all (bacs and chaps people )come here, so good ide for now to stay here. Any one else got other ideas?....Illegitimi non carborundum

i think im right in saying that on this forum there have only been 2 CHAPs transfers that came in today, everyone elses has been BACs... although (interestingly enough) some of these BACs have come in labeled as CHAPs! which i think has caused some confusion.
as far as im concerned people who tried to transfer out with CHAPs have been dealt a swift blow to the 'happy-sack' and will now need to wait till Monday to see what an earth stopped them going.
i now have an evening now lined up for myself:
1) i go to my fridge
2) i get out a beer
3) i go to my lounge
4) i put on my fav heavy metal CD and turn it up to 11
5) i mosh until my brain hurts
somewhere in there i go back to the fridge and repeat the process... i also will ring friends and see if they want to mosh too.
