my wife did the next steps in IT course and got a certificate at the end of it - plenty of work involved though so be prepared!I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0

Does anyone know if it is all done over the internet and from home and you do not have to bother sending things off through the post and visiting places?Things that are free in life are great, well most of the time :beer:0

Our courses lead to nationally recognised qualifications that are eligible for government funding. This means that we can normally offer these courses FREE of charge as long as you:- Are over the age of 16

- Have been ordinarily resident in the EU/UK for three years or more, as long as this residency has been for purposes other than full-time study.
Unfortunately it looks like its only available if you live in England0 -

When i looked into one of these before all the courseowork is done from home but they do sign you up with your nearest college and you become a fully fledged student so they may ask you to do a few hours at college.
The NVQ's though require a few visits to your workplace so you have to be employed.0 -

As I remember, there are very few places around the UK that qualify for this.
Has anyone around the midlands / NW managed to enroll to one?

I'd just like to say a great big thanks to the OP
I applied for this and have been given a fully funded place to do the NVQ 2 in Business and Administration :j I'm actually really looking foward to it starting too as my quals are in catering and ive worked in admin for years
From what I can gather most of the funding is availible in socially deprived areas, and I live in an ex mining town in County Durham0
