oh elona as if that even crossed my mind <whistle>

as ted suggest why dont u make the soup without potatoes then u can have some, i make leek soup a lot and its lovely and thick without spuds.. hope dd is ok!!!

paula good idea with the oopsies. u could add some sweetener or cocoa and make them into a cake sort of thing.. actually thinkin on it i think someone made a tiramisu type thing with them on another board

atkins as porpounded on the atkins site is not at all how Dr A himself had it and its a real shame as thats where people tend to head first, in fact they are the company that make all the bars etc so obviously push them (ooops am being cynical again arent i lol)

My weight loss has slowed right down at the moment but at least I can rejoice in being able to get back into the clothes I grew out of.
You may want to consider Intermittent Fasting (basically skipping breakfast/lunch occasionally) as a way of jump starting the weight loss. Dr Davis (of the Heartscanblog) supports it here Fasting I didn't need to do it while I was trying to lose weight but now I've stopped trying to lose weight (just eating low carb from choice) if I have a bottle of wine & danish pastries & beer and find my weight going up it's easy (now I'm not eating those foods that stimulate my appetite) to drink a glass of V8 instead of eating a full cooked breakfast and/or the large plate of salad for lunch. I find that gets me back to my target weight very easily.

I agree with the soup idea - i bung some cauli and some cheese in mine too. it's faaaaaaaaaabulous!!

had another idea for oopsies too - low carb profiteroles. Add a bit of sweetener to the mix and make sure the egg whites are really well whipped. Make smaller blobs on a baking sheet and bake as usual.

When cool, split open fill with whipped cream/extra thick cream and drizzle with melted dark chocolate.

I'll report back after making them tonight

    OMG!

I finished work early, came home and made profiterole oopsies

    they are AMAZING :j

Did a 2 egg oopsie mix with a tbsp of splenda in the yolk mix
    Made 9 smaller oopsies
When cool, split open, add a dollop of extra thick cream and top with a couple of squares of dark chocolate melted with a dessertspoon of double cream to make ganache

    I'll upload the pic later

    They were SCRUMMY

DD e mailed me this morning and the typhoon over Hong Kong is down to level 1 so it looks as if her flight home should be all right!:j

Had eggs and bacon for breakfast and told DH that I do not want to think of this as a "diet" that I eventually come off but as more of a lifetime plan which I can relax on special occassions.

I know that if I ever go back to two slices of buttered toast for breakfast (then want another two!) - sandwich for lunch (then want another one)- pasta dish for tea (then want cakes or biscuits etc!) all the weight and more will pile back on!

Just the fact that on low carb I do not feel so desperate to eat constantly is fantastic in itself.

Gong shopping in Lidl so see you later.

Oh Ted you are such a temptress:rotfl:

Those oopsies look gorgeous.but I'm trying to be a good girl:mad:

I reckon if I made the oopsies I'd end up eating them all myself in one go:o

especially if they were sweetened and filled with cream and aaaaaaah chocolate covered.I will be good,Iwill be good,I will be good;)

I'm off to a wedding reception tonight I promise to be a good girl;)
