Good morning everyone.
After a couple of bad nights, I slept well last night :-) Today I have homeschool to do. I' think I might look to see if there's a book upstairs I can read to them today. My 9yr old has a nasty cold, so shes isn't going to be very fussed on doing school work, I'm sure the older three won't mind leaving off the written work for today :-) lol. Othere than schooling I have a quiet day I think. Because, for a change I've been well planned shopping wise, I don't have to "nip to the shops" for things I've forgotten, therefore. I won't be spending more money than I need to :-) After being very good yesterday, cooking a couple of cakes alongside the chicken while it was cooking, I'm on a bit of a "bit of a roll" lol. I'm not usually that well organised :-) Today I'm using up some salmon that is in the freezer for three of us, the rest don't like it, so they're having fish fingers. I'm going to do hm chips as well. Haven't done that for years. I shall get one of the girls to help. I have a chipper thing to cut the chips and they have never used it, so it will be an adventure for them lol.
Have a good day every one.0 -
Morning all! :hello:
I'm feeling perkier this morning than I have all weekend - my dizziness really did spoil a weekend I was looking forward to but nevermind. I'm phoning the docs at 8.30 to see if I can get a cancellation with MY doctor (who is very good) instead of the trainee I've got an appointment with tomorrow (who is not). My OH is insisting on coming with me because he's worried about how tired I get all the time and he thinks a lot of my problems are down to a heart defect I have called - wait for it - supraventriculartachycardia (I think its all one word!
), SVT's for short. There is an operation I can have to fix it but I"ve always opted out of it cos I'm a big wimp! (Its what Tony Blair had if anyone remembers!) OH really thinks I should have it done so we're going to talk to the doc about it together. I hate going to the doctor, it makes me feel like I'm weak or a hypochondriac or something - I was only there a few weeks ago telling him how great I felt and please can I come off my anti-depressants now?! Oh well
Got a hair apt at 10.00 so have not bookd any clients this morning and made myself stay in bed until 7.45, which believe me does not happen very often! I've been feeling a bit low and scruffy so I'm hoping this wil give me a bit of a boost!
It seems like many of you on here this morning aren't having a good day so far :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: lots of hugs sent out to those who need them - SCUZZ, I don't know what t say, its horrible not knowing what's going on (who gave you this awful piece of information in the first place?). You need to speak to your BF as soon as possible, I hope you get an answer soon. :grouphug:October grocery challenge(started 17/10/07):

SCUZZ - you posted while I was typing! That does sound better but I still think you need to get to the bottom of things so you know exactly what was said, by who and why, otherwise you'll always have niggly doubts and questions in your mind.October grocery challenge(started 17/10/07):

Good Morning
scuzz - hope you can get to talk to him and find out whats going on. ((hugs))
Had a awful night, dog kept being sick and had to get up several times to clean her up. Don't know whats wrong with her - she is all waggy tail and bouncy still, so it can't be anything too bad.
Have to do some washing today, I get a good 3 loads a day to wash, but goodness knows where I'm going to dry it. I have 3 airers up around the house drying yesterdays washing. A couple of weeks ago our washer/dryer gave up and we decided to replace it with just a washer (but with a much faster spin, to help it dry quicker). The idea was that as we are trying to cut back on our electricity usage then there would no longer be the temptation to use the dryer. This is something I'm going to have to try to find an answer to, as I have no idea what we will do over winter if we don't!! Should have thought about this a little more!!
WM on (what to do with the stuff in it??), BM on, SC loaded up - lentil soup tonight. Flying this AM, taking kids swimming this PM.
Have a good day, everyone, and hugs to those that need / want them.0 -
:hello: Gooood Morning fellow OSe'rs
((scuzz)) - sounds like someone may have been doing a bit of rumour mongering; you need to sit down with dbf and have a long chat! If what you know is because of something someone else has said, you may want to have a chat with them too! Posi vibes being sent your way - you were so very happy and this has brought you down; chin up, take the bull by the horns and get to the root of it. One way or another, you will feel better for knowing ((hugs))
catowen - ooooh do enjoy the reading!! Tell us all about it, I'm fascinated by it all!
Had the most brilliant sleep, no dreams, just straight from shut-eye through to waking. Maybe because I didn't get a chance to do my meditation until I went to bed or maybe because I was just so busy (blame lil_me! ) or maybe it's because I went to bed on a real high having finally a) plucked up courage to try - yet again - to set up my home network b) post on the techie board and 3) to trust others advice and trust myself to carry it out  What ever it was that worked, I do feel soooo much more refreshed this morning than I have in quite a while. No course work today either (bonus!)
Boys come home tonight after their weekend away :j :j It's always sooooo very quiet when they aren't here and I really miss them. D11yo has exams this week and next so I'll have to gauge his stress levels each night. Not long now until d12yo footie presentation night. Not sure how 'formal' the whole event will be so it's hard to decide what I'll need to wear
Time for another cuppa before I get into action mode.
Catch you all later ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Scuzz - you have to find out what's really in his head - you can't live like this. You sounded so happy at the weekend and then so down in your first post. Maybe it's just a misunderstood comment but if you felt more secure it might not have affected you so much? Big hugs coming your way...
To all the insomniacs - I had a real problem with insomnia years ago. I don't need a lot of sleep but I do need some! My GP referred me for hypnotherapy and it was the best thing ever. Except - don't laugh - I got so good at it that I just have to get into bed now and that's me for the night. It was okay when I was single....I am so lucky my OH is so understanding
Oops - good luck with the stopping smoking. Day 2 - you're doing well :T
Happy hairdo sam sam
Hope the dog gets better OldMacD - nothing worse than getting up to find one of the animals have been sick
Hope you're feeling better Racy
That's me back at work today after a lovely weekend. Found the most fantastic tearoom on the shores of Loch Ard yesterday (near Aberfoyle, Trossachs, Scotland)- food and cakes to die for. We did have our picnic - had to eat it standing up in the woods sheltering under a tree because it was raining so hard but we had such a laugh. Dog had a great time. So not very MSE but we had to go for tea and cakes to dry off...
Hope everyone has a productive day!
Hugs all round!

Morning everyone. Just a quick drop in for me, have mountains to do today, including major reassessment of our finances prior to making an offer on a new house
Hope everyone has a good bank holiday. We had a mainly great time and then a blazing argument (first ever!!) on Sunday night after a wedding. Drunken OH was trying to pretent to be 20 again and carry on drinking until the wee hours when everyone else was going home and I lost my temperHe apologised in the morning for being a drunken fool though, so all is well in domestic bliss
Scuzz Sending hugs. I agree with the others, try and sit down and have a good talk with him. It's always best to get it all out in the open.
Where is the sunshine btw?! Have a good day everyone. x x x0 -
Morning all
Can't believe how busy this thread is already!
I'm establishing a new routine this week now that I'm not in work. I'm going to allow myself pleasurable pc time on here after dropping my son off at school until 9am and then I am going to start tackling a long list of jobs!
I really have got loads of stuff to get sorted out over the next few weeks - general household stuff as well as 'admin' type stuff. I know if I let myself stop on here with no limits then nothing will be achieved.
You might well see me signing up to the Flylady thread later though - as I will allow myself break times on here as a reward for hard work!
Have a great day, all of you.
PS: Hope you get things sorted, scuzz. Better get things out in the open before it's too late, I suppose. xx0 -
Good Morning All
Scuzz - oh dear! keep trying to phone bf, or even write to him. Im sorry things have turned out this way. Speak to him first before deciding what to do! update - at least he's been in touch, perhaps the time spent together you could talk about it!
happy belated birthday wished for stressed out mum of 1, and anyone who else celebrated yesterday!
oops a daisy, good luck with stoping smoking!
samsam - hope you have some joy at the doctor's.
Well - yesterday was busy, we had roast lamb for dinner with all the trimmings, then I made HM apple & rhubarb crumble, 2 "queenie's" meat loaf's, and flap jacks.
We attempted the housework and got the majority of it done. Despite OH's leg still hurting and as he was mopping, his lower back muscles, went into spasms.
I will post my dad's birthday cards today, along with the letter I have written. It maybe the start of something, it maybe not, but at least Ive tried!
Best be off and jump in the shower, OH has taken the kids to school!
Ive got the engineer coming out later to change over my electric token meter to a key meter! So I had to empty the cupboard for him to gain access!
Bye for now
Love Emma xxx
