Talk Talk, Sky, Post Office Homephone,Madasafish, Utility Warehouse, Phone Coop, and others do it.
  • I have recurring problem with BT - and with this deal - there is a difference between 'new line installation' - ie, the installation of a physical line (which I need) and 'new line connection' which is the connection of an existing line. The offer, BT and forum users keep alternating between the two terms and its very confusing! Line installation costs 122.50 ... line connection also costs 122.50.... I need both - total cost? 445 - I don't think so....

    Some good news:

I have just got off the phone to BT and been told that this offer has now been extended to the end of December.

Hope that helps, we've not got a moving date yet, so it certainly helps us.

    Cheers

It's the same thing. The basic cost is £122.50 BUT see post #467 above.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
  • Bloody brilliant! Sorry to all those who haven't been successful themselves. I went through to "new orders" on the helpline menu (having used the call from abroad number as I am abroad - don't think that makes any difference) and simply stated that I wished to reconnect using this offer. Didn't bat an eyelid.
THANK YOU SO MUCH MSE XXXXXXXXXXX really needed this just now :j

  • Phoned the number given in the newsletter a week last sunday and the BT guy's been today and sorted us out. We now have a BT line and didn't pay a penny... RESULT!!! I am now going to get o2 broadband with 3 months free AND £50 Topcashback... I feel quite giddy :0)

  • help needed please. I currently use a 3 dongle for internet 8GB at £25 a month. I live in a new build flat and moved in when it was first built. I have phone sockets in the walls but I take it they won't be connected? So can I only go with BT? Advice please for the cheapest deal. I don't need to make calls, just receive them and have broadband that will work with my (old ish) laptop
